Do we really expect Walsh to be out for 4-6 weeks when he has returned from the exact same injury after 2 weeks in 2023 and 3 weeks in 2024?

When he did it against the Titans in 23 pre-season he didn't play for a month and missed round one.

February 12-March 10.

When he did it against Penrith- 21 March and played again 12th April.

Suallii hit was a concussion, and he missed three Broncos games but didn't play from June 5 to June 26.

Facial fractures are highly variable. Reece needing surgery means his is on the higher end.

Perham has been strong for Souths, not creating much he just leaves that for Duffy but safe and bringing the ball back and making ground has been his thing.

He's taken on a real Edwards or even Hunt role for Souths. Which is what they were lacking in Sailor and Latrell, and everything has improved this year for the Magpies with a bit of safety back there.
I completely agree with that. For everything that Duffy has been doing excellently I think it’s been equally as noticeable his little compatriot getting through all the tough gritty stuff and as safe as houses. The contrast in those 2 positions to the last few years at that club is stark, and it makes the world of difference. I think for a 4-6 week period I probably am leaning towards Hayze to be honest.

I think Arthars is probably likely to get first crack to keep FB given he performed well in the Tits game, but if he doesn't fire then perhaps Perham comes in for the Tigers game.

Madge's bench is probably going to be more interesting than the top 13 itself since Karp will slot straight back in and there's really no-one other than Duffy (I doubt he will go with Rogers with Duffy around). ****ing hell, 3 of our top 4 halves options out of action, so thankful for the depth we have!! Many teams wouldn't be able to cover that, but I think we are still a really good chance.

I'm banking on a much more controlled game similar to this weeks' second half. Play safe, control the ball, work them over in the middle and the points will come. As others have said, it's a big few weeks for Mam coming up. I think he'll relish the pressure and do well, at least I hope so.

Maguire said Reyno is a chance of playing.

Just tell Reynolds he isn't playing. The last thing we need with so much disruption is another guy who likely lasts 10 mins and then needs to be replaced anyway.
Absolutely. He shouldn't be even considered this week. Give Duffy his revenge game.

As good an opportunity as any to give Mozer and Duffy a shot. With Walsh, Hunt and Reyno out, weight of expectation shouldn't be too high. If they run hot, so much the better. Good chance to instill some belief in the squad.

Fix the discipline, keep it simple, send plenty of traffic at their halves, and bomb the heck out of Drinkwater.

Kara to retake his wingspot and Arthars to hold a place. Mariner is in fine touch, could be worth a shot at the back, but Jesse's got the safer hands. Nio stays on the bench as contingency. I'd prefer Perham to bide his time at this stage.

We know form lines typically don't mean too much coming into these derbies. I'd expect it to be close either way.

Also gives them a run while our forward pack is pretty full strength, should give them a good platform to work off.

Baby Broncos (spine) time!

Hopefully Mam picks his moments and isn't erratic and/or wasteful with the ball. Remember that second half against the Bulldogs during Origin last year that he was like 'nauurrrr, we aren't losing' and just absolutely demolished them? Kicked to corners, set up three. Just do that, pls.

Nanai is touch and go, but they will be missing Burns and Mcintyre. If they play Derby, just torp him and Bongwater to death
