POST GAME [Round 9, 2026] - Broncos vs Roosters

This has got to be addressed for next year and beyond .. We’ve only made more metres than the opposition once this season and most games it hasn’t even been close.. Sure there’s been injuries but continually getting lapped in this area isn’t sustainable 👀

I feel it is the impact of line speed. Other sides have seen penrith and attempting to replicate it annd reduce our metres.

For one reason or another we are still not consistent with our line speed and teams make more metres

Broncos HQ, we abuse refs and laugh about someone’s pet being attacked
Must of missed the laughing at someone’s pet being attacked bit. Mind pointing it out for me please?

I think it's a deliberate strategy to conserve energy. Give up metres in the middle of the field so we have the starch to defend our line and hit the go button late. We load up when we pin teams back on their line too; it's just the middle of the park we let them come. I'm sure at this point it's deliberate.

I don't like to indulge the complaining about ref shit, but my god that was the worst refereeing performance I've seen in a long time.
It was wild in the first half, then all the levelling up in the 2nd half...manufactured results.

Geez its nasty in here tonight.
Everyone should take a step back and don't respond. You dont have to have the last say.

Some seriously painful refereeing but besides that we still made way too many errors and are getting ****ed in the metres game. Xavier Willison was MIA until second half and the rest really didn't contribute much. Maybe fatigue from the past few hard games but it seems we are missing Payne badly.

Some of you all take this shit too seriously. I ****ing hate the Roosters too, but chill. We're premiers, we just almost ran down a thirty point deficit with half a reserve grade team, and there's plenty of season left to get fit and get up the ladder.

Walk it off, there's always next week.
This is true, better to be injured at this part of the season. We will be so ****ing scared when we run on at full strength

- Adam Gee really ****ed it for us
- We didn’t learn that the ref was whistle happy yet kept laying on players for too long
- Couldn’t get back 10m quick enough
- Why do we do short restart and not fkn compete for the ball?
- Reyno, Karapani & Mariner injuries hurt us but were part of the game unfortunately
- Shiba had ordinary runs
- Goseiski costs us every fkn game with something
- X should have played front row tonight but had a massive game
- Duffy really looked the goods tonight and should come in next week as Reyno will get 11 game stand down
- Patty normally very good and was again good tonight but really cost us with ill discipline
- I think we could have levelled things up if Kotoni didn’t have that ridiculous brain explosion
- Commentators were atrocious tonight including Kev with some of his stupid comments

I am very proud of the effort and this team is amazing still. Next weeks team will be fkn worried after seeing us tonight.

Billy Walters drove this alot. Was your Mitch Kenny. Paix doesnt have that engine.
