POST GAME [Round 9, 2026] - Broncos vs Roosters

On a positive note, how ****ing glorious was it to see Spencer "tough guy" Leniu get bumped off like a meat pie in a microwave on Carrigan's try...
In a very dominant victory, he was barely noticeable

A 19-year-old man has been arrested for allegedly sending a threatening text message to prominent NRL referee Adam Gee just before the Broncos vs. Rabbitohs match at Accor Stadium.

June 2024, we went on to lose that game 22-12.

We lose the infringement/penalty count 10-7 that night, receiving 4 of them after they were up 22-0 already.

But im sure being abused by a fan from a club has no subconscious impact on his officiating.

I don’t understand how people don’t get this or aren’t making a bigger deal of this. Cleary in particular will go into tackles and the moment a player lays a hand on him, he plays the ball (usually without his foot) before held is called and I’ve never once seen it penalised. It’s literally touch football
One of the Roosters tries tonight was scored off this type of play the ball

The biggest comeback in NRL history to win or draw is 26 points. If we won we break the record.
Yet the fox commentators weren't really hyping that up.. especially Vossy who loves to go on about these type of things.

So if anyone wants to see a funny presser, watch the Roosters.

Tedesco can’t stop smiling while trying to seriously say he felt in a vulnerable position and Talty should have been binned. Even though Robinson literally says the rules are pretty clear and the ref said the force was mostly on the ground, he’ll seek clarification on that because it should have been a binning.

Yes you read that right, the ref said that Talty hasn’t done a hip drop but penalised him anyway. And Robinson, who says it’s clear, feels this non-hip drop hip drop should have been a binning and they both said if Tedesco stays down and goes off it’s a binning anyway.

And in a surprising twist of fate no one saw coming, doesn’t mention Radley at all whose tackle did force Karapani off.

Also, Mark Aplphabet’s season might be done due to syndesmosis and Crichton might be out a few weeks with MCL.

But hey, make the game faster!

But our player did stay down after a 'hipdrop' and went off injured and it wasn't a sin bin?

My main thoughts:

- Staggs fully deserved to be binned. What he did was completely unnecessary and I would want any player who did that to be binned.
- Our forward pack is getting monstered.
- We can still win any game if we get a little bit of momentum, even if it's only for a half.
- Duffy looks like he could be our long term halfback.
- We got reffed completely differently to how the Roosters and it made life very hard for us all night.
- The only reason Shibasaki is in this team is injuries, he isn't defending well and he gets folded on all of his runs.
- There is no doubt we are an incredibly fit team that will never give up.

The biggest positive is that we didn't get 50 put on us, which means we are still in the running to win the competition this year.

It was the same as the Talty one. In previous weeks they were both sin bins. Atleast they were consistent on one thing tonight. They should be just penalties. But the problem is there will be one tomorrow that looks identical and there will be a sin bin. Just inventing new conjecture.

Talty’s wasn’t even a hip drop, the replays showed the force was toward the ground.

The issue with Radley was that he then got penalised again very next tackle for a high shot, maybe two. That’s always been a sinbin.

Our forward pack would've been considerably stronger if Willison started in the middle. I think the coaching team got far too cute with that decision. Jetski filled the stat sheet against the bulldogs with his tackle count, but was the stats never reflected that he was often behind the ruck. Same tonight against a much more physical pack in the Roosters.

Agree on all points. Gee wanted a game of touch football. Whenever Tedesco ended up on his back a 6 again was called. Soft as shit, reward dominant position with a longer count.
