POST GAME [Round 11, 2026] - Broncos vs Warriors

Not that I’m bitter about the loss but I kinda suspect that NSWRL intends to have a GF between Riff & Wahs with their Klown gifting it to Wahs.

Dumb fcuk Lando can claim it to be a spectacle with breaking numbers.

I think if both teams are allowed to play football and there is an even share of ref ****ery, I think we can go on a run. But sadly, it doesn't appear we'll get that at all this year. I think top 4 is gone and we'll struggle to make the 8 if we keep getting reffed like we have the first 10 rounds.

I don't think Klein's reffing in the first half was that unfair. Half of the penalties were blatant - contact to kickers foot, hip drops, swinging arms. The Walsh HIA despite no penalty on Barnett and Tuapiki holding onto Mam were incorrect in the second half

We were actually winning the opening sets for once, but then Walsh drops it and Reynolds gives away a terrible 7 tackle restart. Then Warriors were just camped on our line after that. I thought we were good at rushing in defence and putting pressure on their sweep plays (instead of being too passive), but were just a bit unlucky to not get the ball back many times

Willison again stuck on an edge because Madge saw Egan run past Jhunt and hooked him, which meant we completely lost the middle with Carrigan plodding around

Our backs especially Shiba were woeful out of yardage. Karapani might have run for 200m but none of that was meaningful. Need Mariner/Ganderson back asap

Paix just has to go at this point. Limit Carrigan's minutes to 50-60

Ok so my old man - loves the footy, loves the Broncos. Has been away travelling and hasn't seen a game all year. Rocked up to a local pub super excited to watch today's game, first of the year.

He left at half time. Pulled the pin and went back to his camper. This guy NEVER blames the refereeing or anything of the sort. He literally could not stand what we got served in the first half tonight. I had to break it to him that that has been the same every game all year.

"I don't know what that is, but it's not the footy we grew up watching."

are you trying to kill your old man ... you need to ease into this type of news, otherwise you could give him a heart attack

I am blown away with the referees' decisions though. Especially some of those CLEARLY professional fouls and head highs that were missed, yet we get punished for it somehow.

At 70%+ possession to the Wahs, you have to think to yourself. Sure, Broncos had moments that they SHOULD have capitalised on. But, when you don't get clear calls from the ref, yet the Warriors get penalties that we had to overturn 3 times with the captain's challenge. It is nothing more than biased refereeing.

Another 13+ win. This is not normal for NRL. This is an obvious outlier with the rulings.

It isn't a coincidence we are seeing games like this. I am not just advocating because I am a Broncos fan. I am advocating as a fan of NRL in general.

There is only 1 good, contested game every week now. This has turned into a shit show of a game. I personally have turned off every game except the Cows v Roosturds and the Broncs games at half time due to the utter shit that they are promoting.

Great post. We only got molested with a couple of late in the set 6-agains this game. It was just avoidable foul play that ****ed us, plus the errors you mention.

I'm not giving up on this season, but god we need to unearth some backrow talent (or bring them in from outside). We can't keep shifting X out there whenever Piakura goes down.

I mean…. Aside from the sport that we love turning to shit, I’m not all that worried.

Two better bounces and two less intercepts and we’re right in it.

It’s almost as if we’re missing Staggs, Haas, Jensen, Piakura, Mariner, and Billy.

We’ve just got to work out how to control the ruck and possession in this Vlandotrashball era and we should start gutter stomping
The problem is they aren't working it out, they keep doing the same dumb stuff week in week out.

It's not the penalties I so much have an issue with, though they are also bad, but it's the 6 agains. Both teams got hit with unfair penalties (and bins) but the 6 agains are a ****ing farce and are determining games.

The set we got our first 6 again - the next 2 tackles were SO ****ING SLOW and yet it's crickets. Then they get the ball and immediately a 6 again is blown for absolutely no ****ing reason, led to a try.

It's beyond diabolical at this point. Literally determining games, and literally impacting for/against and thus the ladder.

And honestly, Patty needs to be better with the ruck infringements. Like, my ****ing god bro.

In saying that, why are the refs blowing 6 agains when they PTB and ruck is going at a smooth pace for either team. And you honestly can't get a 6 again for being tripped up in the ruck, it is so ****ing frustrating.

The Good.
- No injury's for us, unlucky for poor TBoyd though.
- Semu and Poates showing potential.
- Didn't conceive 50.
- Bye next week then Dargs and Titans and we should have Piakura, Mozer and Payne all back for the Wabbits.

The Not Good.
- Ben Hunt is really showing his age, Helen Keller would've seen that intercept coming and he threw it anyway. God I miss Billy. (He should be back for Souths as well right?)
- Patty needs to have "Stop giving away 6 agains" hammered into his skull, also don't ever kick again.
- Drop Shiba when Staggs is back, utter passenger this year.

All in all, that result was kinda expected with the outs we have against a high flying Wahs, proud to see the Players not just give up like we would have in 2024, good mentality Madge has added to the team.

It's brutal watching Carrigan defend. Constantly flat footed, not chasing from marker, left behind the ruck, not dominating the tackle and just holding down. Billy dropped him to the bench last year, and it would not shock me if he was dropped all together this year

The difference between Paix/Carrigan compared to what Egan/Clark produce is just night and day
And he wants an upgrade...
