I've been living in Perth since '09.
I have mentioned before on here I'd like to see them succeed.
Being a strong AFL state the Bears need to engage schools, grassroots and doubters/fence sitters in the community to be successful.
The media will be their biggest hurdle, Stokes run "The West Australian" is the most biased paper I've ever read, not that I read it anymore.
But people still gravitate towards that rubbish with not a good word to say about codes other than AFL.
I believe junior numbers are on the increase, I have emailed NRLWA regarding this, just waiting for a reply.

Anyone else seen the pics going round of Schuster at magic round? Bloke has trimmed down deluxe.
There's a player there for sure if someone wants to take a punt and he's willing to start on bottom dollar.
Anything more than bottom and its probably not worth the risk with his track record.

Feels like another TPJ but it's a minimum wage contract, I wouldn't mind taking a punt.
It all comes down to whether his attitude has actually changed.

He is getting embarrassed. Verrils has stunk. That doesnt help them at all. Tirans should jump at the chance if they are silly enough to swap out xerri. I think he is overrated but he alot better than Verrils.

I posted re this last week. Manly have to pick up 500k of his next contract as part of his deal.
It's a no brainer for mine. The rest of this year with club options.
He wants a longer term deal so will have to be trying his best and it cost nothing.
