What if he also called the ref a cheat? CONEHEAD got sent off for it but ponga had already been sent off, you can’t get sent off twice. Would ponga have got a bigger fine if he called Klein a cheat? Can you be fined for dissent?

There have been a ton of grade 2's already this year that weren't send offs... Patty copped a grade 2 earlier this year.

Suaalii copped 4-5 weeks for his torpedo send off... If Ponga's truly did warrant a send off then why didn't he cop a massive suspension as well?

Instead Ponga was dealt with more harshly than similarly charged tackles in NRL... because it was the wrong call

I was thinking that, would have loved him to do it. Reckon Walsh would have.

They changed the rules because clubs who pay the players were disadvantaged by origin players being suspended for indiscretions in origin games .
So now fines instead .

I think grade 3 and over are still suspensions. ???

My point was mainly about the grading... I dont really care about him being fined or suspended.

Moreso that the ref deemed the tackle on the field to be so bad and dangerous that it warranted being sent off... and yet the MRC came in with a grade 2.

Suaalii's torpedo send off was graded as reckless, which is effectively grade 4 up... and yet the media put up a bigger fight about that one not being a send off.

Meanwhile Ponga gets sent and it's graded like a ton of the illegal tackles that have already occurred this year... and there havent been an equivalent amount of send offs in the NRL this year.

The send off was the wrong call and yet media gaslight and talk as if it was correct and how could anyone argue.

A send off should result in 10 minutes of 12 VS 13 and then you are able to replace them. A sin bin should be five minutes now, because the game is already stacked towards the attacking team.

Get rid of the six again……I’m actually starting to rethink that idea because you just know the talking heads will rule our premiership as having an asterisk next to it while the panther’s 4 will be totally legit because Cleary is the “goat” and would have won them regardless if 6 again was a thing or not.

Getting rid of the six again would mean our fearless leader would have to admit he was wrong and go backwards. So next best result is more bandaids to attempt to fix what was never really broken (or add more grey area bullshit that can be manipulated for more fairytales)
