Who plays lock? Bunt and Junt are the only who have played at NRL level at lock. Junt played lock in QCUP last weekend too. Possibly could be Talty, Rogers or JGos for 15 - 20 minutes? I was impressed with Rogers when he played in hooker/lock, very much progressed the ball and service was on point.
I'd be going Rogers... we need a Smoothy replacement and he's the closest to it.

Bhunt will also spend time at lock to close out the game.

Probably start with Willison at 13, because this injury will force Madge's hand and get him back to the middle.

After 25-30 bring Rogers on and Willison into the prop rotation... when we hit the final 15 or so Bhunt shifts to lock to close out the game... unfortunately Paix will get a second stint at hooker to finish the game unless Rogers is killing it and is able to handle 50mins of tackling and ball playing.

8. Semu (**** it reward the young fella)
9. Paix
10. Haas
11. Piaks
12. Anyone ... who ****ing cares... just not Willison!!!
13. Willison

14. Bhunt
15. Talty
16. Priki / Gos / whoever is left... probably Priki just to have some size and maybe Gos in Perham's spot
17. Rogers
18. Perham
19. Duffy

Can`t tackle ?
Or can`t decide who to tackle ?

Front on he`s a very good defender . Decision making with 3 options coming at him ? He`s pretty ordinary I agree .
That`s why I think 13 suits him and the team ATM . Also see if it`s the left side edge crew not communicating and working as a group .

Sad for Tanah Boyd .
Yes he was playing outstandingly . I would want to see if it was able to be sustained before signing him up . Similar to Shiba in that regard .
I reckon Ezra could be a gun in the middle doing that Dylan Walker role.

He absolutely puts some shots on in defence and he'd be a serious threat to middle defences as the link up man.

It's a lot of fitness required and probably some more size, so more of an over an offseason type of transition.

His paycheque is probably too high to be playing that role though... unless broncos are ready to move on from him

Mam and Shiba have got to go. Maybe we can ask Parra for an early swap once Pezet is fit.

Yeah, I agree with your choices

Willison was good for us at 13 in place of Carrigan when he was suspended. Rogers is underrated as **** as a hooker/lock and backup half. Pretty surprised he isn't in the team more often. Smoothy was integral last year and he fits that makeup. I think Mason Teague is the closest like for like, but he is T&T still.

I saw Aublix played really well as prop in Qcup. 140+ run meters. I just wish he would transfer that to NRL. So he could be in the team as a reward in replacement of Piki. And Francis is looking pretty nice off the bench, so could be a smokey.

Semu runs hard and hasn't done a lot wrong, I'd start him for a change up, 20minute stint, and JGos as bench forward is looking pretty solid. Talty just needs to give us a solid 20 minutes. He can't do much more tbh.

But, we will see, I think the best thing to do is simplify everything and at least pick a solid 2nd row and lock combination and rotation.

If we aren't going to have a ball playing lock until Bunt comes on, and Roger's is a no go, then we need to just stick with the best defensive option which is probably X anyway.

Pretty sure he is fit. Or at least playing NSW Cup. Ryles seems off him. Probably because of his shit defense

Yeah lol. **** I hope Duffy gets a shot next year

Frankly I wouldn't be against moving Walsh to 6 and playing Perham at fullback.

We need to get Walsh's hands on the ball more and I actually think his natural progression will have him playing 6 at some point later in his career. He basically plays like a 5/8 at fullback.

Lock has to be Willison. We cannot play him on the edge again and he absolutely killed it there. I think we could make do with Jaiyden in the front row now that Payne is back, as long as Semu gets more minutes. Rogers to come off the bench playing lock if he's not playing 5/8.

Paix needs to **** off. Mozer and Bukowski hookers going forward.

Gos can **** off, as well. At this point, we'll get better output from one of the cup backrowers so play them instead.

Anderson to play in the centres. I like his energy.

Injuries aside for this week, do people genuinely think they will see changes? Im not 100% we will as Madge seems to not want to look at the key area (in attack im talking) that we are struggling in, and thats the 9, 6 and 7. The forwards are what we have so there is not a huge amount we can change there due to Injuries etc... but definitely Semu to start?

Well ,, let`s see your team Mr Selecta ?
Easy to criticise ,much harder to be a problem solver ....

Here you go mate, give it two weeks you'll be saying I like this Francis kid he makes a real difference when he comes on.

If you wanted to shake things up, Francis off the bench could give some guys a rocket.

Two Cup games in and normally I am more conservative, but I think he's a chance.

90 minutes, no missed tackles and his impact is there for the Bears, he's created chances with is skipping runs that make it hard to slow him down and his play the balls have let the Bears attack.

He's stepped up to every level. He's had two different experiences, one point win against Mackay and Burt put him back on at the end to contribute when they were behind with five minutes to go on debut and Souths on the weekend, Bears weren't in control and Souths were finishing all over them.

To come in and have a positive impact on the premiers at 18 is massive.

I did this last year to show Bukowski's impact on Wynnum when he was off the field and on the field.

Francis after two games.

On the field Bears plus 19.
Off the field Bears minus 27.

45 tackles and 0 missed in 90 minutes of Cup.

Actually don’t mind the idea of Ezra as a small middle. Could simplify his game and help him get confidence back. Will never happen though

Even if he doesn't change the makeup of the squad, outside of Patty and Gem having to be replaced. There are just a few different ways the starting side can look to be more balanced.

He at least needs to play X and Bunt as locks. The only time we looked good last week was when Bunt was at lock.
Junt as 2nd row. Who is the most agile/laterally fast out of our 2nd row options, Rey looking slower in defense doesn't help. Staggs helps a lot in defense too next to Junt.
Bring someone else in for hooker rotation, like Rogers (who can play lock and half too), Buk or Mozer. Bunt at hooker has rarely ever worked.
And give the starting 8 jersey to a bloke who is going to run hard, like Talty or Semu.

All in all, it is really just 1 change in personnel. Possibly Aublix to come back in on bench or possibly starting prop as a "shock" change. Even Francis, as 1910 said, would work, as he is a natural lock. Which would move X to prop.
