He's ruled himself out of origin due to injury... if a player is fit enough to play NRL then they're available for selection in state of origin

Yea, but that's still up to him - not the NRL. He won't be back, but if he makes a miracle recovery, that's fine - play on.

To be fair, he would have to play like prime Bradley Clyde to be any chance and even then, he won't get picked.

Because Madge wants to see a good run of form before he considers them, which I get is the right thing to do but when you're in the position we're currently in, it's frustrating because the players being selected aren't playing good enough to warrant staying in the side.
