Literally, I don't understand signing Bunt. If it is on a veteran wage as backup halfback, then sure. But we already have Pezet and Duffy who should be walkups to NRL halfback spot. By walkups, I mean, giving them a crack over Bunt.

I honestly don't think Madge and co are all too keen on Mozer/Bukowski. Considering, I feel like Rogers would get a shot over both of them. And he isn't even a hooker. A bit like the J Hunt situation.

JGos is also apparently considering Super League, since we only want to offer him a minimum wage contract.

Dane Gagai wouldn't be a bad option; can he play left centre? I am sure he can. Mariner/Staggs and Gagai/Karapani would be strong as.

But yeah, we need a solid signing like Willison, and a promising back and 2R signing.
 
We have also approach Murray Taulagi, Rocco Berry and Tommy Talau

Dane is only after 1 year. And I think this will be for Shiba's contract if he doesn't sign. Whoever bites first.

I think Taulagi would help the most. He'd move to wing with Staggs, then Mariner in centres next to Karapani.

Plus Walsh plays better with him at halfback.

It's one year and he doesn't take up much cap space, and having an experienced head around the young guys could be beneficial.

That is the problem, we don't know how much his contract is.

No one is complaining about him being resigned as depth. But if it is another $500k contract... then no thankyou.

And we really need to move on with a new long term HB. The time is approaching.

This is probably why Arthars contract was never offered to him. Using his money + Shiba discount to get a decent back.
 
Hunt if its min wage, it is what it is. Break glass type player on the extended bench. Just would've been a lot simpler to get around if he was in somewhat serviceable form and we hadn't been losing for months.
 
Out of all those rumours, I like the Talau one, he’s very underrated. And would allow us to keep developing Poated if he doesn’t sign with PNG and Verhoeven in the background while getting Mariner into centre

Not disappointed with that... I had concerns about him being a centre, but was interested to see how he might go on the wing.

He didn't get long on the wing last round, but I was watching him take hitups in yardage and it wasn't all that effective.

He might've been able to convert to the wing (similar to how Hoeter covered wing but was a centre) where his run first game becomes more effective, but he would need to be able to take a bomb... I was not that impressed by his yardage carries, so I don't necessarily know what he brings outside of possibly striking up brief purple patches where he's unstoppable to opposing centres.
