Just ponder the optics of abandoning a club you’ve served and one that’s has served you extremely well for nearly a decade, along with all your teammates, in the middle of a really tough season, when there’s still a finals spot on the line..

That would be a terrible look for Haas and nearly as bad a look for the Broncos, if they allowed it

Yeah and I forgot to add, the farewell that the club has no doubt been planning for Haas’ final home game etc..

Not that I’d expect many of these blokes to be conscious of too much outside their own interests..

Yep, CONEHEAD has a short memory. If he casts his mind back about 3yrs, he will recall when Payne wanted a release whilst his best mate was at the helm. Similar to how he brings up we let the likes of Dearden, Flegg and Herbie go. Remind me Gordon, under who’s watch did those 3 leave..

Roughly, yes. In isolation a couple of ageing players being on our roster are not worth celebrating. But considering their cost, it's a bargain and good insurance. Let's hope next year's injury toll is not as bad, but we could have used Gagai a few times already this year. And I'm sure Hunt realises that if he isn't at a higher level than the other halves, he'll either be on the bench or in Q Cup.

In regards to couldve used Gagai this year, we're still need some more signings, because the Gagai for next year is basically Shiba?? of this year.

We're still needing to figure out how we're replacing Anderson and Jesse.

I suspect one will be via the combo of Nio/Coates, but I dont think they should be considered the next men up in both situations.

Absolutely. I'm not saying our recruitment is sorted, just that these pieces aren't necessarily the wrong ones. We're not expecting them to be corner or even edge pieces of the puzzle, they are just bits of sky from the background, they look like random blue shit that don't do much, but they are part of the picture.
 
Badel article, but apparently after all of this Haas June 30 stuff, he's called a crisis meeting with the players in an effort to get the season back on track. Haven't read the article but apparently that's the summary. Really sounds like a guy keen who hates Madge and is trying to agitate for a release.
