Reynolds and Bunt are just done sadly but everyone else was good.

We have some major holes going in to 2027 though unfortunately. Haas' loss just cannot be overstated. Its absolutely heart breaking to think him and Difita will be running around in the same team again and it isn't us.

We need another second rower 3 years ago and that need hasn't changed, its criminal we haven't replaced Capewell in all these years. Piaks might well be done as a player with his history of head knocks and we've done absolutely nothing to have a fill in. That is pure arrogance or incompetence - I'm not sure which.

We just can't play Bunt moving forward, the dude is done. Can't believe he's running around again next year.

Pezet / Duffy should be fine at 7 if they just play as a cog in the wheel and let Walsh-Mam run riot. Tonight's Shibasaki will be a loss but you can't trust him to do it week in, week out moving forward. Let's hope Verhoeven or Poates take a leap over the offseason.

And we need another middle...preferably two. Talty is too flaky and while I thought Piki was good tonight, he hasn't been thus far and you can't trust him to do it week in, week out.

If we can fill those holes though...we're still going to have a side in 2027 injuries permitting.

My point was more about moving forward, we need to get those right players in around Reece to compliment him...but by the same token, the game plan can't just be throw it to Reece to do stuff. There needs to be a plan B and C in case plan Reece doesn't work and atm, our plans B and C are a little past their used by date.

Tonight was just throw the ball to Reece and it came off, but you're right there needs to be a better plan from the coaching... a bit of that also needs to be on Reece as well.

I think it was a bit of a Hail Mary from coaching staff tonight... let's just give the ball to Reece as much as possible and see if he can win it.

He always wants the ball and he'll have games like tonight where he is absolutely on, but he'll also have games where everything he tries goes to shit.

He can't touch it 6 times a set... it'll fry him mentally... but if he's feeling it like tonight then get him the ball as much as possible.

When he's not on he needs to be able to recognise that and be able to play the more cookie cutter style fullback play on the back of shape and finishing 3v2's

Mam was also bad tonight. Big effort but still bad.

I think it's just over for him and his brain at this point, 4-6 weeks out won't do much.
