Re-watched the game this morning and it was honestly among the best defensive games I've seen from a fullback overall. In those conditions to take the bombs, do try savers, and even offensively/defensively prevent repeat sets on top of the regular marshalling of the line and be there on every play. He is so much fitter than previous years, and far better defensively.
That’s the sort of win tough resilient teams bank. Easy to say it’s wet, miserable, round four against a crap team get them next time. But your standards need to be high on those nights and last round against Melbourne. Miss them and in August you’re talking about how you finished fifth not third.
