Remember the mantra of not so long ago, in the case of May's tackle it was late (very marginally) it was high, there was forceful contact made with the head of a player who had passed the ball. It would have been a sin bin and he would have been charged for certain not so long ago. The perfect example is Dale Finucane on Crichton I think it was.
BP touched upon this, respectfully I disagree with your take on this. People like JT have a profile and a following, and therefore a platform to be utilised to shine a light on issues like this or other issues of concern to the indigenous population, like health, housing, job creation, educational opportunities for youngsters.
If people in the fortunate position of JT do not speak out and use their platform, all you have is silence and the issues are not brought forward to the public mind...
Thank you good sir. Even a broken clock is right twice a day.
There was no mention in the reporting of the hearing of anything to do with his comments post match or the incident in the hotel being taken into account, so I think the decision was pretty much on the money. Without the plea of guilty and the fake remorse he was looking at 10-12 weeks.
The next player racially vilifying someone will probably be looking at a longer holiday again.
