These blokes getting injured are all just soft. They need to be more like Patty. He practically had his leg amputated at the knee by a violent assault against South Sydney and he just shrugged it off and ran for 222 meters. These other blokes need to take a spoonful of cement and harden the **** up.
I was going to blame the Vegas experiment as the cause for all these injuries, but they're happening across all teams including those who remained at home. Really odd, is it just a freak occurrence early in the season? This is the worst injury toll I've seen in a long long time.
I agree. May was trying to rush Walsh.
May, having been schooled all week on Walsh; what a threat he is with space, just reacted.
It wasn't malicious. It was negligence.
Like the hip drop, if the NRL was serious, they'd make an example. They didn't.
The article I posted is hindsight now. It doesn't change our predicament. Hopefully, like the hip drop, they ping the crap out of it.
It just sucks that we are the poster for change.
This is how a head clash can occur accidentally from a defensive play that is legitimately an accident and not due to a reckless tackle. Finucane bends and lowers his body for good contact, however, Pole fends, raises Finucane's head and simultaneously Pole lowers into an awkward position for both players. Finucane shows duty of care, no penalty, correct decision by refs.
A broncos player will get binned first if the bunker / refs crack down on similar head high contact, similar to how Patty and Hass were binned/charged first during the crackdown for hip drops (call me cynical .....)
