Or vunivalu scores with 3 seconds left to equal it and smith misses the kick from the side and then golden point smith kick off and Morgan drops it off kick off and cronk kicks the winning field goal, paybacks a bitch cows!

@Dash

Have fun at the game. I'm sure it will probably be unbearable.

I've seen some butt hurt on here over the years but some of the cowboy hate is OTT but funny as ****.
Why can't you just enjoy an incredible sporting effort as it happens?
They don't come along that often, it's unfolding in front of you and you can't see past old defeats.

Go back and watch the finals games and see Morgan grow into the greatest park player to ever live.
Watch the moves they put on to draw a defensive error and the effort to correct a mistake (O'Neill last night).
Watch the sheer will to not let their team mate down in D.

This is a once in a longtime thing, enjoy.

100%. The cowboys are showing us how the modern game is played. We have the same level if not better roster and they are making us look like chumps.

I'm thinking it will be a good grandfinal and whichever team wins will have truly earned it. It hurts me to say the two best coaches currently have a horse in the race and I have a slight preference for the cows although I will be satisfied with either winner.

I've always rated Morgan and marvelled at the irrationality of some of our posters who seemed to think he only had good times because he played alongside JT. Where are his detractors now ? We would have finished 1st or 2nd if he played for us and certainly we would have beaten the roosters soundly.

That hit by O’Neill to draw the error from Fergo after his own disastrous error was amazing.

It's easy to say this now and bag out members for comments they made earlier in the season, despite a lot of those being correct at the time.

Morgan was a bloody average player without Thurston and was only ever successful while playing next to Thurston because of the amount of pressure it took off him, he could just focus on running the ball. Back then, he wasn't the player he is now. He's had to work bloody hard all season at his game to make improvements in the areas needed in order to be successful without Thurston and full credit to him he has done that, but it wasn't all rosy. Morgan struggled a lot without Thurston to begin with, he looked lost and couldn't guide the team around the park. The Cowboys lacked direction and didn't have much attack-wise so they were pretty easy to defend.

To even attempt to claim that Morgan was anything more than Thurston's little bitch at the start of the year is simply someone using hindsight to suit themselves.

Morgan himself didn't even back himself until later in the year. SO here I am, one of the detractors, he's playing absolutely, and utterly brilliant. But he most certainly wasn't back when all the circle jerk over him were going to town on each other.

Or was he always good and deferred too Thurston because that is the cows game plan.

I can't help but feel that this is Morgan's purple patch of form and while he may still be a very good player, he won't reach these heights again and the pendulum will swing.

I think storm will win comfortably and if they get 12 or more clear the cows just might collapse and get belted. I think that's a real chance.
I'll be taking storm 30 plus.

I think there has been genuine improvement in him. He might not quite play as well as he has now in the future, but I think he's a genuinely different player now. A lot of halves seem to be either good organisers or strong runners, and he's both now. He wasn't the former before.

The problem is Thurston returns next year and Morgan's role changes.

I don't think it's going to be easy flicking the on and off switch.

Fine. I didn't say he was playing as well as recently but I was referring to his form for the last few years. He was good without being great. He was ALWAYS so much more than a average performer. I remember that every time the cows played well with JT in the team his effirts were constantly dismissed and I thought unjustly . Saying my view is all about hindsight is pure crap and an easy go to. What the real issue is the common on here tendency is to launch into quick judgement without any real consideration of the facts.

Generally people say shit here without ever actually watching a player, frequently oblivious as they concentrate on other things. I tend to watch lesser lights like years ago, Danny Nutley or more recently Kaufusi from the Storm and plenty in between. I've mentioned players in the past and immediately get knee jerk comments, oh he's shit, bog average, crap a neville and the detractors haven't paid a moment's notice to the player in question. Not everybody of course, mainly the young and impulsive, lacking maturity. In fact over the last 15 or more years I've witnessed posters on here become more considered.....I think the greatest or most glaring example were the declarations about Jarrod Wallace although the abuse I received about Nutley was staggering led by the champion Mr Lix ( aka Coxy )
