2019 Broncos Line-up

Opacic had a mare against the Cowboys in 2016, but tbf he was only playing because of Roberts stupidity and he played with two stuffed shoulders and they exploited it.
From me mory Opacic also left his legs at home that week as he moved slower than Lt. Dan from forest gump.

He was stuffed, there are certainly games he deserved criticism, that wasnt one of them. Its not that easy to run when you cant move your arms. We just had no alternatives.

There's no chance in hell moga is better than Kahu

Do I need to quote your post where you divorced him?

Yes we all fell out with moga especially after that finals game but Kahu is trash at centre but great on the wing.

Left centre has been a position the Broncos have struggled with for quite awhile. Outside of Jack Reed who filled the position OK (and even then had his detractors) nobody has been able to make a real fist of it since Renouf retired. Berrigan was good there for around a season before he hit a wall, Chief had his moments but would play anywhere for the side and Walker's defence was so poor he ended up on the wing.

Hopefully Seibold can find his man.

I've been trying to think of who Jack Bird reminds me of as a centre. It's Jack Reed.

Is it sad that I'd prefer an in form Reedy as our left centre over Bird?

I met Reed once at a club and he was really nice and genuine.

We could have really used our two redheads the past few years.

Peter Wallace would have been great for Milford's game.

Yeah people saying Kahu should move on are a bit out of line I think. He is a fantastic winger. Very very safe under highball and not bad in defence.

If we had access to the Broncos books to check what the cap situation was.. then we'd be able to say accurately whether Kahu should move on or not.

People are more so concerned about retaining our future stars rather than holding onto a player that was supposed to be a star for us and never quite got there... He's getting older so I think he'll leave for any contract of choice that is higher than the Broncos offer.

After this last year of his contract is up, I doubt we'd be offering him much, if any at all.

If the side needs anything, it's a couple of Ranga's. Loved Reed. I still remember his first try at Suncorp. Had a good view from my seat and was telling a mate of mine to keep an eye on him. Mate scoffed because he'd never heard of him.

While he wasn't Matt Gillett circa 2010 as far as bolters go, Tautau Moga was certainly the Broncos biggest bolter of 2017. When he signed with the club, many saw him as a depth option and thought he'd only play a few games here and there. Instead he impressed on club debut and after some dicey moments, proved a real workhorse down that left hand edge. The club made the right decision letting him go to Newcastle, but his tenure wasn't as bad as fans make out.

The Broncos didn't play the Cowboys in the 2017 finals series. Were you thinking of the Melbourne Storm prelim where he blew an overlap out-wide? Or did he do something in the Round 2 clash against the Cowboys?
Sometimes as a fan I take a real shine to a player the first time I see them and probably look at them through rose coloured glasses and forgive a lot of the little things that they get wrong.
With Moga it was the exact opposite. I first saw him at the trial game in Ipswich. I was right down on the sideline and he made quite a few really powerful runs but I was close enough to see he wasn’t even looking to set up his winger most of the time. Occasionally as he was getting tackled he would panic and try to shovel the ball out but it would hit the deck. It really pissed me off because it was a trial game for his winger too (I think it was the young guy who is at Souths now) but he never had a chance to get into the game. It was just selfish and from then on whenever I saw Moga play I kept seeing the same flaw in his game.

Maybe that means the coach should have thought to play him as a backrower and see how he goes there. Less passing needed.

I think this is what Nathan Brown will do at Knights.

I think Roberts is a fullback, Moga is a winger and Brown is a SNAG.

Would be nice to see the Jet at least given a chance to show what he can do at fullback. He's always wanted to play there.
He'd need a good pre season for it though.

Imagine him and Milf linking up on the field regularly
