BBL|08 Discussion

I really like Labushagne's ethusiasm to play cricket, but I really hope he doesn't play any more games for the Heat. His record is atrocious as a Heat batsman. The only justification he could have to play for the Heat again is if the wicket is a raging turner and we need 3 spinners. Even in that case I hope they would go with Khellerman (or however his name is spelt) as he can't do that much worse with the bat and probably on par or better as a bowler.
 
Bryant looks like he can be the next Lynn/McCullum in T20. Dunno about the longer forms of the game, but he looks like an explosive batsman.

Sams is one of my favourite players to watch in the bbl at the moment, has the wicket taking ability but then has the batting prowess to go with it. He has phenomenal power

It is a power outage around Woolloongabba, you know, the suburb that 'The Gabba' is in. This wasn't a case of someone forgetting to flick a switch.
 
It's a joke that this happened in Brisbane. It's not the game is being played in some absolute dump like Townsville, we're meant to be the third biggest city in Aus.

EDIT: It won't stop me from loling at the meltdowns from Sydney.

It's pretty shit from Energex really. I could understand if it was a power outage during an extremely busy night (Like a weekend with storms causing blackouts), but it's a weeknight with no storms for weeks, surely they could've got it back up and running in the space of a couple of hours.

Thunder have every right to not be happy.

Playing Conditions Law 7.2 - 'In the event of a match being abandoned because of inadequate pitch and/or ground preparation the match will be awarded to the visiting team'.


They should have got full points.

2015 Victoria got full points when the SS was called off because NSW didn't have the outfield right after rain and it was deemed dangerous.
