BOOM BRONCOS READY TO ROLL
The Anthony Seibold era was launched in style with a 42-0 rout and the message is clear — Brisbane has the best production line of young guns in the NRL. If the Broncos don’t win a premiership in the next five years, their management will have to ask serious questions. Monster prop Payne Haas, 19, front-rower Tom Flegler 19, and rookie forward Pat Carrigan, 21, monstered the Magpies with their size, fitness and workrate. The 117kg Haas is a future Origin and Test player. His mobility for a big man is remarkable, running like a five-eighth as he crashed over to score in the 43rd minute. Carrigan has the industry of former Broncos ironman Corey Parker while Flegler is an old-fashioned front-rower.
ANOTHER RISING STAR EMERGES
In the backline, a superstar arrived in halfback sensation Tom Dearden. For a 17-year-old, Dearden has maturity beyond his years and natural football instincts. He scored two tries in the opening 31 minutes with show-and-go trickery. It is only a matter of time before he plays NRL.
ADDED DEPTH BOOSTS BRISBANE
Fellow playmaker Cory Paix, 19, was slick, scoring a try in his senior Broncos debut. Jake Turpin was outstanding at hooker and gives the Broncos the perfect back-up to Andrew McCullough. Throw in the likes of Jaydn Su’A and David Fifita and the Broncos are on the cusp of something special.

Why did they even bother?
Deadset, I could have asked my grandpa to head down to the local park and take a better video.

It baffles me how bad our club's media team is.

Is it that much effort for a multi-million dollar organisation to hire a media guy to cover events like this? You don't even need to be particularly good, get a damn tripod with a bit of height and record the game. Hire an actual videographer for the day, I can't imagine it would cost me than 1-2k to hire a professional company to shoot for 2 hours and quickly edit the highlights. Post the full game up, it cost peanuts in the scheme of things, it would bring advertising revenue th rough the site that would probably pay for itself. Get a sponsor to cover the trial game and I'm sure they'd gladly pay any costs to get some free advertising out of it.

That was shocking.

Turpin rewarded for a good game with another start against Wynnum.

I only read your first line and knew I was going to agree with the rest. Fucking deadset piss poor and unbelievably taken at eye level. It was the first outing of the Seibold era, we all were waiting and that's the tripe handed out. I would have gone to the match myself armed with my S9 and done way way better from elevation even if it meant grabbing my shitty Bunnings stepladder. Unfortunately I am at work on shift 14. Very disappointed with the effort.

If you thought the highlights were disappointing, try listen to the "high quality" radio stream

Fans have been asking for trial games to be streamed/highlighted, whatever for years now.

It's such a simple thing that would have many fans excited. I'm sure half of the people on this site would tune in for some quality highlights. Heck, if the club had some sort of good stuff, behind the scenes videos, interviews, they could sell this as a site-exclusive membership digital package and heaps of fans would pay for it.

The NRL in general is super amateur, take a look at any of the major leagues anywhere else in the world and the video content (and quality) they put out is phenomenal. https://www.youtube.com/user/bundesliga/videos That's just one example.
https://www.youtube.com/user/mcfcofficial/videos - Another example. They don't even have to be original, copy the other leagues who know what they're doing.

1min 30sec highlights from a sideline view behind the ‘bench’ who were all standing on the same ground level. Pretty disgraceful, and I’m sick of the club’s disregard for fans (and the greater league community in general) when it comes to stuff like this.

Meh, the next two will be live streamed with a commentator. This was in Warwick and they don't even have 4g yet. I was pissed last year because there were no excuses for their efforts but I'm fine with them skipping this one if they're offering the next two
