Haas - Off Field Dramas

In a time where the off field of this sport is crashing around us, I'm really surprised to see league fans who are happy for players to refuse to speak to the integrity unit.

They obviously need to investigate to make sure no NRL player was involved, and him not talking to them is a horrible look. People making out like the unit are the cops FFS.

I applaud the Broncos on this one. After the way Bennett botched the whole Matt Lodge affair last year we have to set a better example for our players. Well done.

Haas' brother has now been suspended twice for off-field stuff from the QRL. Happened again and Haas refuses to talk- people are applauding him enabling off field incidents.

Really.

He isn’t legally obligated to say anything. The club has cooked this.

Yeah good attitude, we don't want to help the game or get people that can't behave away from the game- just do nothing about it.

Legal or not, moral conduct goes a long way. Glad Seibold thinks we can do better.

He’s being punished for something his brother did. It’s fucking ludicrous

No he's being punished for not helping them investigate. A more mature response would be this is what I saw and I know my brother did the wrong thing I am working with him to fix this and I know he's been suspended twice.......

Let's fix this behaviour.

I wonder if he'd be sitting out games if he'd taken that approach......

Well, not really. We've been told he's been suspended and fined but we've also been drip fed a tiny little bit of the story. And we wonder why people are trying to put two and two together?

I’d rather protect my family than throw them under the bus.

I just would have said, 'Pigsy, what can I say man? I've got to maintain 117kegs and the heat up here has been brutal. I was destroying a half dozen chicko rolls and chips and then it all erupted around me. Blokes everywhere. I couldn't tell you who did what if I tried. I have no idea what was going on. I told the club about it when next I saw them. They told me to go easy on the chicko rolls...'
That’ll do me.

I can no longer support a club that is giving young players, young men, such poor advice!

Also, if people think this sort of incident wouldn't get you dragged in front of HR, you're dreaming.

Helping your family not behave like violent fools is throwing them under a bus to you?

You're doing a much better job by enabling violence, because nothing bad can come from that.
But what is this violence you speak of? Give us some details.
