Haas - Off Field Dramas

Cause he doesn't want our players held to a high standard, and the coach agrees with the Haas situation.

If he’d done anything wrong, I’d be for punishment. He didn’t, so I’m against it

Except breaking the rules, ones that you agreed to by signing a contract, is doing the wrong thing.

Go disobey your bosses orders because you don't agree with the rules. See how long you have that job.

I'm my own boss champ, and I'd never ask someone to choose between their family and their job.

I doubt Seibold had anything to do with this tbh. He was still the coach of Souths when Inglis got busted DD and they did their best to give him no punishment. This has Paul White's fingerprints all over it.

Putting a 19 year old to the sword for no good reason
We should be able to trust a 19 year old to abide by the terms of a contract (especially the highest rookie contract we have ever given out)

When he signed the contract he agreed to abide by the clubs rules, regulations and code of conduct ...

He didn't and got punished for it ... end of story

Hell, Haas himself has even accepted that he did the wrong thing

I'm assuming you're not your own boss in a corporate environment though.
That’s the key too.

Being your own boss and being the ‘boss’ of a multimillion dollar sporting organisation that answers to a board, has sponsors, members and a very large public identity are polar opposites.

Good on him, I think the club are being a pack of ***** for putting him in this position.

My issue is that he’s being used as a scapegoat
100%

I don’t expect him to handle it with complete grace

Actually that is exactly what he has done(to the media and public). Anyone who thinks he would tell a journo he was pissed at the club rather than say all the right things has got rocks in their head.

I get what you are saying and I do agree. My issue is that he’s being used as a scapegoat. I hope that the club has explained that to him and that his shoulders are broad enough for that burden. At 19, most of us were the most self-righteous, know it all pricks alive. I don’t expect him to handle it with complete grace, but I sure hope he does. It’ll be the mark of the man within.

All good points (without knowing almost any additional details to the very limited info that’s been given).

Of course most 19 year olds aren’t on the kind of money and resultant media scrutiny that someone like he is either.

The facts as they stand are though that he has rightly been punished, seemingly punished far too harshly and handled it like a man twice his age.

I'm glad I don't have to do business with you, because I couldn't trust you to adhere to the terms of a contract ...

On the other hand it is a real shame I'm not your clients lawyer.

Righto mate, maybe I just like to apply a little more common sense and wouldn’t expect someone to have to out their family members.

Glad I’m not part of your family or you’d sell me down the river if it suited you.

Selling down the river......How about Haas dickhead siblings ruining the very good thing he has going for him by putting him in such a position in the first place by acting like complete ferals
