I'm still a little confused as to what we're going to do with our edges and forwards when we're fully healthy.

Su'A gets 1 week and the gets the chop? Was that just to ease Fifita in to the season, or did Su'A get relegated because of his fitness levels? I don't see Gillett lasting in the middle, but I don't see him shifting Fifita from his preferred right edge.. Ofahengaue might be a lock, but so is TPJ.. Haas is getting paid the big bucks, you'd probably think we want to start him at some point as well right?

We've got the problem of having like 8 forwards who should be / could be starting.

Quite honestly, and i said it somewhere else, i think Seibold is dodging a tough decision tbh trying to shoehorn 4 backrowers into the side by moving Gillo to lock. Glenn has probably put a spanner in the works by out performing them all in the trials. I'd still be inclined to start with Glenn and Gillo as our starting back rowers and have the other two to keep the pressure on.

Its going to be an issue at some point. We just cant keep everyone happy.

For what its worth, when they are all available, i'd be going with

8 Lodge
9 Macca
10 Carrigan
11 Glenn
12 Gillo
13 Joffa

With a bench of

14 Staggs/Flegler ( depending if a 4 forward bench or a utility player is wanted )
15 Pangai Jnr
16 Haas
17 Sua/Fifita

This is the Broncos vs the ex-Broncos ... lol

there are 5 former Broncos in the 17 for Fridays match; Kahu, Opacic, Granville, McGuire and Molo

Yep, I think this is the best way to use both of them. It's a shame that this move is dependent on finding a viable alternative at half, but hopefully one of the young guys in the system can push through sooner rather than later. I feel like there's a much greater chance of this happening under Seibold than it would have under Bennett, at least.

I dont think Bennett has ever been afraid to use the younger guys.

We will get a better indication of how much we've improved the ruck in this game. I want to see those extra efforts and players attempting to get on their bellies quickly. If this happens McCullough will improve immensely

Fifita, sua , haas , flegler and carrigan are all very young and have time to adjust to nrl from the bench and qcup. It's a long season so I expect a fair bit of rotating. I expect sua is lacking fitness and confidence so be good for him coming off the bench. Am interested to see how Fifita takes his start .

Didn't Bennett do this before hunt left??

Yes, because Hunt was the halfback. I could have phrased it better but I meant demoting Kodi from starting half to bench utility.

I dont think Bennett has ever been afraid to use the younger guys.

In more recent years I felt Bennett was more likely to pick and stick rather than try something new when things weren't working. I don't know if it was faith, or sheer stubborness, or an unwillingness to admit to making a mistake, or a mixture of all three. I just get the impression that Seibold is more likely to make a change like that than Bennett has seemed to in the last couple of seasons. That said, maybe if Bennett was still here and one of the younger guys did put his hand up he would've pulled the trigger. And maybe Seibold will sit tight on the halves all year. Who knows?

Keep Granville quiet and we will have an easier time .
That guy has brought us undone more times than JT or Toma . He lifts every time against the Broncs it seems and is often the spark that starts sh*t leading to points .

I saw improvement in the get to your belly positioning in tackles . Though the Storm are masters of putting people on their backs it was better than previous seasons against them def .

The refs could have blown the whistle a few times for hanging in the ruck against Melbourne I thought . But new season new interpretations . ??

Macca kicking occasionally and running when there is one marker would make us less easy to pressure .
Milf`s long kicking last season had improved a lot . He would have been my choice to kick long rather than Kodi . Leave the shorter ones to Kodi at 1st receiver in the 20m in attack .

All the talk about the halves ? How much time did we spend in the Storms half let alone their quarter ? That`s when halves get to show off . Not coming out of their own half .

It's not hard to tell that Kahu is very bitter about his exit from the Broncos.

The guy that fucked us the most was Michael Morgan. He should be easier to handle with the new role, hopefully.

He’s dominated Milford so many times. That’s what fucked us

Kicking was disappointing but as consequence somewhat of be dominated in field position. One thing that worries me is without Roberts, we seemed pretty listless in attack.
It might change as we get more confident with attacking using siebold's methods. I certainly hope so.
Why no one with acceleration doesnt follow tpj around, sniffing for offloads I'll never know. He seemed pretty willing and there was just nothing. More than a few of our forwards have it in them and whilst concentrating on getting out of our 30 is paramount, there were still plenty of opportunities for second phase play.

Yeah and probably fair enough tbh. As a confident athlete I’d be bitter if I thought I was better than players getting put above me too.

I think it was a good move by both parties in the end because he wouldn’t have played for us, but still. He has a pony.

I kind of don't blame him from something I have heard that I won't go into. I don't think it was much of a shock though to him that he didn't fit in our plans though.

Pisses me off we are without 2 of our best forwards in Lodge and Haas. I'd be pretty confident with those 2 in the team...I don't know how how we're going to stop this Cows pack without them?

Should be Roberts or Milford’s job
