NEWS Fensom in frame as Brisbane prepare for old foes

I like the idea of giving it a try. The guy is hardly going to set the stadium alight but he will be working hard all game and maybe that's the kind of player we need.

He doesn't bend the line but he doesn't exactly shy away from taking carries. When he was a regular starter playing 65+ minutes he was still making about 100 metres per game on top of a lot of decoy runs. He's much better on the defensive side of things but the guy just wants to be involved, period.
He sets the an example some of our younger forwards need to heed IMO.

I kind of agree about Kotoni having a some issues in defence. He isnt a poor tackler, and he hits hard, but i do think he reads things badly sometimes, he was doing the same sort of thing at Redcliffe last year. I have no doubts he will improve on that though, he is quality.

He also has an attacking error or two in him but he looks like a really good player in the making. I think that bench utility role is perfect for him to serve his apprenticeship. I bet he comes on and wins at least one or two games for us this year.

I'd really like to see him thrown in to dummy half every now and then. He's an explosive runner of the ball, and it gives Macca a sorely needed rest.

Absolutely. Early in sets so Macca can get his breath it would be helpful and effective if they aren’t really set especially off the back of a hit up by Oates.

Absolutely agree.
There's nothing exceptional or flash about the Fence (@Clintos That nick name's gotta stick, Fence it is!) What he is, is a genuine workaholic. A true team player.
I like that.
With all the up & coming brilliance we have in our pack, I reckon Fence is a perfect fit.

He's the closest thing the Broncs this year have to Pole Padding, the defensive yard stick, who was so vital from last year, fitting he gets the nod for this game.
