2019 Broncos Line-up

That's a stretch in the negative don't you think? I'm not saying he's going to be useless, but comparing NRL and Q-Cup stats in a BHQ special.

The whole point of the reserve grade competition is to see who can make it in the NRL. :eusa_doh:

I was actually just trying to give people an idea of what Jamil is capable of in rugby league.

Would you prefer it if I said those statistics from Q Cup meant nothing and that he can't make it in NRL?

I just don't think that's the reality.. Clearly some want to view it that way

The stats are fine, but putting somebodies stats up to directly compare against proven NRL players means the stats are pretty worthless. I'm sure plenty on here who watch a lot of ISC could rattle of loads of players with impressive stats who will probably never succeed at NRL level. Look at blokes like Nat Neale, Michael Purcell, Marmin Barba, Daniel Ogden, Luke Page, Liam Georgetown, Cameron Cullen, Shannon Walker Luke Capwell and many, many others who would all have great stats but didnt or wont ever establish themselves in the NRL. You wouldnt compare Nat Neale's figures against Jesse Bromwich for example.

Jamil is a decent player, but i'll wait and see if he can be as effective in this current Redcliffe side who are nowhere near what they were last year.

Glenn just posted on insta saying it’s all bs, he isn’t going anywhere and has the backing of seibold. It’ll be prettty dirty if they now move him on ....

Someone like Cody Walker was in the Titans NYC team in 2009 and didn't make his debut in NRL until 2016.

That's 7 years of playing reserve grade and being lumped in with the rest of the players as not good enough.

He got a shot at Rabbitohs and now he's one of the best halves in the NRL.

I like to keep an open mind. A lot of people in rugby league are afraid to do that.

Freddy Fittler keeps his mind open to all possibilities and picks the best options. That's how he was able to clean out the NSW line up and blood talent / create combinations that other people wouldn't have ever considered.

He is the exception rather than the rule. If he had a better attitude he would have got a start at the Storm imo. He was just too impatient.

I could keep rattling off Qld cup players who were really good at that level and never made the step up, I doubt you can do the same with players who went on to establish themselves in the NRL the same way Walker has at his age. Rhys Martin is probably the best bet to do it at the moment.

I think you’d establish more credibility without the stats and talk about watching the players play.

That’s not right, he was at the Storm and Titans twice, it was his fault he was playing ISC.

Of course he is, the story came from the mole, he’s worse at his job than the NRL itself.

Wasn't he at Penrith at one stage or am I thinking of somebody else.

Is David Fifita from NSW? They have him in this years origin side for NSW with Tevita and Lodge... I thought he was a Queenslander.
He is a queensland er, another poorly researched article by a rugby league journalist

Reckon he might get a run this year? Or too raw still?

I noticed the anti Macca chat disappeared in this thread after we won our first game.
Seriously, bunch on man babies around here with their scape goat agendas

A win just temporarily eases the pain of having macca as our hooker. It's like morphine

He should. Glasby, Cooper, Hess, Papa, Wallace, Napa are all playing badly. Papa especially looks in worse shape season by season (he's fat). Napa I just don't rate whatsoever.

Neither. When he's not throwing his head at someone's chin, he's a passenger.
