Ahh shit I'm off to bed, am sick of getting worked up over these overpaid sacks of shit and their ignoramus sorry excuse for a coach. Lets wait till tomorrow to read what excuses he has for tonight's efforts. The ***** probably frantically looking around the dressing room right now looking for the answers in the back of his coaching teacher's manual.

So this is what it must feel like to be a Titans supporter?
The Titans drop players when they underperform. So it's a different kind of despair. They experience lower highs, but also shallower lows.

Go back and watch the game more closely smartass.

Your mentality is so weird year by year.

Last year we were playing quite good at stages at which point you were all doom and gloom and saying we're going to lose every game by 30, this year we're playing arguably the worst a Broncos team has ever played in history and you're singing our praises?..

I don't quite get it..

Top 4 roster with the worst spine in the comp and a very inexperienced forward pack. Milford has been bad for a long time but everyone blamed Hunt. Boyd has been atrocious for too long now too. Cowboys are bad too so beating them means nothing.
This. We don't have the leadership, spine and chemistry to be a top 4 roster.

Lmao I cant see us winning a premiership in the near future.

I will say this for the Broncos.

There's going to come a stretch of games in the not too distant future where the Broncos lift and play a brand of football that's going to lead to wins. Names like Payne Haas, Jack Bird, Thomas Flegler, Tevita Pangai Jr, David Fifita, Jaydn Su'A are going to be popular and the fans on here are going to feel extremely lucky to have them in the squad. However, this has been the same song and dance from the Broncos the past two years now. They've fooled themselves into thinking certain players have a place in key positions and as time has gone on they've gradually gotten worse. Again, I don't see an easy solution, either it gets worse before it gets better or they just continue to try and buy themselves some time and hope that a player forces them to pick them.

There is going to be some good times ahead, it's just a matter of when. When are they going to have their 'Dragons' moment like the Rabbitohs had last year? That's what they need.

Nice post Pete, but in your opinion who are the 'certain players'?

I've stated the reasons why several times.

Those slamming bird are blind. Him and Staggs are excellent. We actually don't really need Jimmy either.

We didnt miss TPJ tonight either.

We cannot slam the coach - he has inherited a roster and a political roster where players have been promised/signed/kind gloved for some time. He would have been stupid to trash the lineup without giving it a solid go. Politics within a squad isn't easy to manage and if the incoming mentality is different to the old mentality, things will not change over night. he is also not responsible for stupid decisions players make on the field, especially when he doesn't have anyone to replace them!

Blayke Brailey, Manase Fainu, Wayde Egan, Reece Robson

All 4 of those guys can't crack the starting 13 for their current club, are off-contract for next season and would be immediate and noticeable upgrades in attack for McCullough and would demand less coin than him, just as a cherry on top.
All fantastic choices but docwe still go wit
I watched it mate. You can be a sunshiner all you like but you're on your lonesome if you think we're just a bit of polish away.
can we polish Macca out?

Brb. Making a gif of the times Milford spun in circles and Boyd ran sideways. Need a particular highlight of the field goal set up where everyone went missing.

That's all it is.

It's rather simple, we don't drop the ball, we go into the break 20+ ahead and it's a far different ball game. We hold the ball against the Dragons, we win.
Nope. We dont have the players in the key positions to add that polish. Against the drags we fucked up a field goal attempt due to shit service and tonight we **** up a full set starting at halfway because our halves and hooker have nfi.

That's not polish. Like I said, you can say everythingisfine.jpg but you're the only one on that bandwagon. Just about everyone can see the problems bar you, you're not a visionary.

Bird was good...for the first 5 minutes.

Then he blew a certain try, dropped another ball, had players getting on his outside and picking up ground just about every time, and finished with the lowest tackle efficiency in the side.

Here's the thing with Bird, he missed nearly the entirety of last season and would have close to no confidence, but he is performing at a high level with a lack of support

No, this is crap. Bird's busting his arse for us and is going great. Playing well above his weight and copped one in the sternum earlier in the game.
So because his lordship disagrees it's crap. Yeh right. He topped the missed tackle count, he bombed a certain try which was a huge turning point in the game. He made a few good tackles and despite his crabbing across field leading up to the first try the other times it simply threw the whole team structure to shit. He needs to run straight and hard and link with his frikkin winger for god sake that's what centres do matey.

We play such a predictable unappealing brand of attacking rugby league. It's so ugly to watch.

Yes, people are stating that we need to hold onto the ball and they'd be right. Lodge was fucking pathetic tonight. His ball handling was atrocious.

We hold on to the ball and yes we score a few more tries but the worrying thing is, we look so lost out there. No one knows what play to call or what to do. There are absolutely zero leaders and players with a mind for game management. We need an overhaul of the spine because I'm bewildered by how pathetic and lost we are. It's embarrassing even as just a rugby league fan.

Mate, every team struggles with replacing a player that influential. Eels haven’t done it in 30 years, Newcastle is only just coming out of the other side now.

I'm not saying we need another Locky although that would be wonderful. What I am saying is this team needs a leader in the middle, not languishing at the back.

It's time for basic defence drills. WestsTigpies were actually quite good tonight and were very capably led. Our leaders were very poor by comparison and we were in it up to the death. Milford, Knik,Boyd and McCullough should be told to sit down, watch the last 10 minutes and asked to explain why they shouldn't be dropped for failure to lead. It's on them and not the other guys. We missed Gillette a lot.

Trouble is, we don't have any leaders. That is an issue which ought to have been address years ago. When Milford was signed, his position ought to have been FB as a number of us here - a minority - posted, and were flamed for it, rather than have the club - read Bennett I'd say, try to manufacture him into the next Lockyer when Milf and his style of play, his strengths, were nothing like Lockyer's. He is not and never has been a game manager but a brilliant, instinctive ball runner who is best playing what's in front of him without, for him, the strait jacket of game management.

That is when the rot started, and 2015 was an exception to the rule in that Milf played freely the way he always played - he ws left alone and excelled. The fact he can cut it as 5/8 on occasions is neither here nor there. He is not the game manager we need. He is the running FB we need, one that can execute everything Boyd can and a whole lot more, like being dangerous in attack, almost Tedesco-like over the 1st 10m.

For mine Boyd to 5/8 - at least he can organise, and being in the middle with the captaincy and that responsibility will force him to do it ... or just retire.

Whatever good he does at the back - and he does some very good things, he is NOT the complete FB this side needs.
