Thursday nights and Brisbane don’t mix, as the Lions are getting flogged as well. We haven’t won a Thursday game out of four so far.

All signs point to a win on Sunday

Badel said that Roberts will come of the bench as a strike weapon, I wonder what position? He said kotoni will stay in the centers as will bird.

when Roberts comes on either Staggs or Bird could play in a backrow role.

or maybe they will stay where they are and give Roberts a roving commission to pop up whereever and catch the Raiders off guard

Hopefully at fullback to give Boyd a spell

Last thing we need is another backrower.

I like the thought, like a second fullback

A fresh Roberts in the last 30 minutes with a license to roam. There are some highlights waiting to happen.

As much as I would like to see personnel changes, unless those changes improved the Broncos defence, it would be like re-arranging the deck chairs on the Titanic. The problem with Seibold's approach is that he focus' on individuals instead of worrying about the team. Under Seibold, the Broncos are making more efforts to blitz the attack, but they're coming up with more inconsistent results. With Bennett's approach, the defence may have been passive, but they always valued their defensive structure over the risk and reward of big hits.

I thought Bennett's biggest problem at the Broncos is that he was never able to build on the defence. Once other teams spent enough time studying the defence, they were able to pick apart their flaws and began to exploit them with consumate ease. A change needed to be made, it's just a matter of whether Seibold can find the right fit.
So, Souths will be easy to beat then? Seeing as all the other teams will have picked apart their flaws and beaten them with consummate ease.

I wouldn't be surprised if a few teams towelled them up next year once sides have done enough video.

Clearly at the Broncos, the 2015 structures weren't as effective in 2016-18 when a few teams put on some huge scores and really made Brisbane look second-rate.

I have a feeling Souffs are going to collapse at the backend of the competition. Wasn't impressed with them against the Warriors or Manly.

I'm tipping us to win. Canberra have been going well but apart from the Hodson, even though they have been going well, I don't have a high opinion of their spine either. 2 strong teams with poor spines. Their spine a little better but the rest of our team a little better. Should make for a close game.

Rapana and BJ up against our left edge should be interesting. Our defence over there has been barely QLD Cup standard at times.

Put him in as hooker that be deadly

Roberts at hooker or lock? Seriously? Nah, I'm missing the humour here? Why put one of the 3-4 fastest backs in the game with question marks on his defence in the middle at lock or hooker. Nah, I must be missing the punchline.

As for defence in general, be it 2015, '17 ... '19... as someone said, tackling is an individual's responsibility, defence is the team's. From where I sit, nobody in the opposing attack is left unmarked and everybody moves to cover.

Not rocket science, just common sense, attitude and bloody effort.

As for Leilua and Rapana, I see Staggs and Oates being more than capable to contain them. For mine, Bateman and Whitehead running on the edges are the real dangers and Gillett and Glenn have to be switched on or its big trouble.

Yep. Milford and niko are our weakest links in defence and are targetted every game.
