If TPJ took some notes off SST and ran the ball hard every carry instead of being afraid of contact or going for some ridiculous offload he'd be the best forward in the game bar none.

EDIT: that's not to say that he should shelve the offload Wayne Bennett style, but he needs to think about running the ball and making meters first.
Personally I hope he does the opposite. I don't think this team needs more plays where forwards tuck the ball under their arm and run straight. We are far too bunched in attack possession as it is. Haas averages 165 metres. Lodge averages 155 metres. Ofahengaue averages 127 metres. TPJ currently averages 129 metres. Collectively our middle forwards make more metres than any other team, in most instances by a hefty margin. We don't need any more hit-ups than we're already doing.

Tagataese and Fensom are vastly different players, and of the two Fensom has more present day value.

He obviously has barely any more value to us than Tagatese as we barely use him. Fensom was struggling to get anyone to sign him up until we did for some reason so I really don't get the logic he has more present day value. He is a very odd signing as it stands no matter how you dress it up. We need older heads yet he can't get a look in.

He was a depth signing at minimum wage in a position that has experienced fewer than average unavailabilities and injuries. If you don't get a flat tyre that doesn't make your spare an odd purchase.

If we're using the car analogy, it's like the Broncos have a few flats but refuse to use the spare because it's busted.

I'm so disappointed... It's like the other day I went for a surf on one of my old boards that used to go good but it is now waterlogged and was like riding a stonefish. I put it back on the shelf and rode my new mayhem and had a few blinders. Then one bad session on the new board, more so related to the waves than the board, I went and favoured the old waterlogged heaper again. Bugger you seibold and your shithouse spine choices. Macca is waterlogged. Leave him on the shelf for the memories.

Yeah metres dont seem to be the issue (mostly). Offloads and greater ruck speed would be great though.

Offloads work well against sides with really structured defence (storm , roosters etc).

Ruck speed opens more room for ball movement i.e. the rabbitohs forwards last year didnt offload so much but got quick play the balls which allowed cook and their backline to take advantage.

Oh side note, would be great if our team wasnt bunched when running it out of our end of the field. The opposition compacts their defence and we are no threat.

The one-outs kill us, even one other person running alongside the forward either creates that little bit of doubt and you can break through or you’ll catch them committing blindly and send the other person through.

I’d be a lot more confident in that second option if our handling wasn’t god-awful

Drinkwater starts for cowboys this round, so we officially no doubt have the worst fullback now!

The more I look into this Drinkwater purchase from NQ the more pissed off I get.

Here we are stuck with an aging very out of form fullback in sharp decline, because we are led to believe we have zero options to replace Darius with.

Then there is Melbourne who have 3 very capable and decent looking fullbacks coming through, yet it is fucking NQ and not Brisbane who actually make the play for one of them even after we let Kahu go to them to play fullback. Unbelievable.

If this season didn’t feel like a fucking sick joke already then it is fast becoming one especially after seeing Macca walk back into the 9 when his form far from warrants it. We deserve everything we fucking get.

The club better fucking have some kind of market strategy on hand for 2020 because I am fast become disillusioned with us seemingly losing so many players to other clubs during the season yet we seem to be the only club not actually signing anyone or being linked to anyone. Don’t even bring up Folau, he will not welcomed back and after his go fund me farce nor do I want that fucking piece of shit back here. It is a panic buy. Who the **** is in charge of recruitment? Are we just going to sell
Everyone off and just promote youth and become
The next Penrith? Hell even the Panthers have Signed some marquee players in recent times.

He can and should still offload, but he hits the defensive line like a pillow at the moment. Think back to his performance against NQ: he was running hard that game.

EDIT: I should clarify. It looks like he goes into some games with intensity and others with virtually none.

What “tough decisions” would he have visibly not made as a maths teacher?

I’m really excited about the answer to this question. I can’t think of one tough decision a maths teacher would be afraid to make and how he could be one a pushover?

I’ve read some posts that Milford could be playing fullback this round. Has anyone heard of this, is it a possibility?

No, it's not a possibility. Perhaps if there was cover for Milford, but there is not.

I’d really like to know how the board feel Siebs is going. So far he has not looked good at all, fairly out of his depth to be honest.

A lot of supporters were very excited to have a new ideology come on board, someone who would get the kids progressing and clear out the deadwood.

Well so far, the deadwood is still there in all it’s glory minus Roberts and KNik who may have been limited but both provided x-factor, something this side now has nothing of.

TPJ, Roberts, Milf, Staggs and especially Isaako seem to have regressed.

Flegs, Fifita, Carrigan seem to have stagnated.

Four of the most promising kids are gone or going - Boyd, Su’A, Walker, Simpkin.

Only journeymen and Schumacher signed to replace FG regulars and national reps.

Has anyone progressed? Joffa? Turps?

Siebs has not made many of the needed, hard decisions. Still willing to give him two years but boy, that’s more based on blind Hope than proof this far.

It would be hard to find anyone not extremely disappointed or worried I’d imagine.
