Smith and Melbourne have the admin by the balls and boy do they know it, and **** are their jobs easier when they have talking head cheerleaders like Ben Ikin, Brett Finch and Brent Read falling over themselves to be Smith's white knight.

Meninga too. **** was almost going to break down in tears because poor Melbourne had been questioned in the pregame where they out 50 on the Titans.

Finch defends them like he's still on the payroll, which if he is, be should but the **** out and let neutrals discuss it.

Ennis is my favourite commentator by a mile. He's one of the only guys who will actually call a spade a spade and not ride Smith's ****.

These Merkins at the top are making it bloody hard to be an NRL fan.
What a joke.

This is my theory and the only explanation to this corruption. We used our get out of suspension card when we freed Hodges to play in the GF. They probably cut a deal that if Hodges got off then we’d be punished harshly for any player that fronts the judiciary for the next 10 years. Why else do we never fight any charges?

In that case we had guerra (rightly) saying he milked it for a penalty, but this case had james "lil'bitch" maloney still carrying on.

I am really interested to know what the commitee expected TPJ to do in that situation.

It just shits me that smith can try and turn someone into vincent van gogh and munster do a copy book cannon ball tackle and not get cited, but TPJ gets done. It is a disgrace, all levels of the NRL need to have a good hard look at themselves.

So was this just missed by the match review pork chops or was this deemed Ok?View attachment 6015
This is the very reason TPJ was crucified. The MRC were called out nationally for their lack of common sense and utter incompetence for not dealing with that situation in an acceptable manner. TPJ had no chance of them having the guts or balls to downgrade his charge for fear of being made a laughing stock again but that’s exactly what’s happened. They have again highlighted their lack of commonsense, lack of good judgement showing their incompetence once more. They bent over and bowed to media pressure knowing full well being a Broncos player the flak would be far less taking the easy way out. **** them all.

Just can't wait to see his aggression at any cost playing style next ,,,,,,,,,,,,fucking year. Fat lot of good it does sitting next to the coach.

But surely it's relevant in this case. The grub was milking, he over-reacted to the contact as if it was a crusher, when in fact it was anything but. The defence should have shown about 4 or 5 other attempts at milking that he had during the game to show that his "reaction" to the tackle was complete bullshit, and therefore the tackle was nothing near as dangerous or heavy as is being made out.

It also shows what a shit bloke Maloney is to come out after the fact and claim he 'heard his neck crack'. **** off you did ****, if you 'heard your neck crack' and thought there was an issue you would be lying on the ground concerned not leaping to your feet to get in someone's face.

This clown can't **** off to super league quick enough. This has been an awful season but if we have contributed to the Panthers missing the finals and in turn getting this piece of shit out of the game as soon as possible then I will count that as some kind of win.

South Sydney’s Sam Burgess’ dig at former coach Anthony Seibold

South Sydney skipper Sam Burgess has taken a thinly veiled swipe at former coach Anthony Seibold saying “if he has an agenda somewhere, we’ll just get on with it” ahead of Friday’s grudge match. There is little love lost between the Rabbitohs and the Broncos given the infamous coach swap at the end of last season. Barbs have continued to be traded since Seibold and Wayne Bennett took over Brisbane and South Sydney respectively.

Seibold said "not a lot's changed from last year" regarding the Rabbitohs attack but Burgess laughed off that suggestion while Adam Reynolds declared his side were “predictable” last year.

“If you want to delve into it and have a little look you make your own mind up if there's been change or not,” Burgess said. “We had a great attacking structure last year. David Furner was our attack coach and he was very good. We've adapted things a bit more. “100 per cent it's changed. You see the way we play. All you have to do is look through the stats and the shapes that we are throwing.”

The Rabbitohs attack was criticised for being too easy to read under Seibold. The Roosters had little trouble shutting down South Sydney’s go to side — the left edge — in last year’s preliminary final.

“I find it a bizarre comment,” Burgess said of Seibold’s remarks. “But it's probably not his only one in the past couple of months, if you know what I mean. “I don't know what he’s playing at there. But whatever. If he has an agenda somewhere, we'll just get on with it.”

Fox Sports Lab statistics show South Sydney scored 46 of their 98 regular season tries last year on the left. They scored just 25 on the right side in 2018. This year they have scored 27 on the left and 22 on the right. Rabbitohs No. 7 Reynolds said there was obvious change in the way they play.

"You only have to watch our games now to figure out what's going on,” Reynolds said. "Look at last year, we were pretty predictable with what we were doing. This year we have lot of variation and different sets. "I wouldn't say we're playing the same way. Our assistant coaches and Wayne have done a great job preparing us and they've changed things up. It's been a breath of fresh air.”

South Sydney hammered Brisbane 38-6 when the two team’s met earlier this year. The Rabbitohs were in the midst of a seven-game winning streak but have slumped in recent weeks to drop out of the top four.

The match hardly needed any extra spice but the return of Broncos discarded duo James Roberts and Jaydn Su’a. Burgess has been named at prop despite battling with a quadriceps injury while his brother Tom is out for a knee injury while Braidon Burns (hamstring) is replaced by Kyle Turner at centre.

I think their attack looks worse this year around... I mean they just spent 80mins playing the dogs and couldn't score a try. I'm not even sure they got over the try line at all in that game.

Last year they were able to score at will on the left so they didn't need to use the right hand side of the field.

The only noticeable positive difference I have seen is Cody popping up on the right hand side of the field.

Here’s a novel idea - if the MRC got the NAS one wrong; rather than just saying ‘oh well’ and moving on, perhaps fix the mistake and have a trial like you would in a real court for a crime you committed, regardless of how long ago it happened.

Seriously; it’s not like the police and prosecutors aren’t going to charge you for extortion simply because it happened last week and you weren’t charged during that week, so it’s all sweet. You still committed extortion!

This is not Monopoly, there are no ‘get out of jail free’ cards.

I commented last week that the whole MRC / judiciary system is a farce and doesn’t follow any real judicial system - this is just another example of that.

On second thought, clearly there are ‘get out of jail free’ cards in the NRL. My bad.

Like everyone else i am totally gobsmacked TPJ getting 5 weeks for that clumsy tackle.
I just watched James Grahams response to Paul Kent when asked on NRL 360 what he thought about it.
His response was priceless, he sat there shaking his head in disgust.
Says it all really.

You can't tell me afl doesn't have it's issues aswell? I have family that come from Victoria who love afl but still complain about how it's run , but they also love there nrl aswell. I guess they are storm and bombers fans so that says alot I guess.
