Milf has been our best, or equal best player for years. His game is screwed however because of shitty selections of Boyd either at FB or 5/8 and that dinosaur Macca at 9. His game has been crippled for years with a shitty spine.

What's sad is Seibold using Milf to patch holes in the play making when the solution is simple. Drop fucking Boyd and Macca.

For mine, Milf would do best at 6 with SOS at 7 and Isaako (gulp) at FB. I also wonder how staggs would go at FB? I understand he has played FB before.

I like that Milford doesn’t have to defend on the edge. But you can’t have him covering so many roles at fullback. The mid field bombs must stop and he shouldn’t be at first receiver if he’s fullback.

We have a 30 man squad that could win a premiership.

Unfortunately, i dont think we have a coach that is willing to make the tough calls and implement a game plan, attacking structures and defensive structures (with cohesion) that will facilitate that.

Shit I missed this.
Well worth a watch. It’s a penalty 99.99% of the time, but considering it was at the death and would have levelled the game, the refs had no balls.
Had it been TPJ that done it, not Roberts, you can guarantee there would have been a penalty, along with 2wks of articles about how dog it was.

We also would have won another premiership by now.
Lol this. Also it's not like we don't have way better options to pick from. We are basically picking the worst player for every spine position.

9. Macca, Segs, Turpin. Who would honestly have Macca there?
7. Dearden, SOS, Turpin, Macca. Who do we pick? Turpin, of course. The logic is flawless.
6. Milf, SOS, Turpin, Boyd. Yep let's pick the worst option again. 5/8 legend, D. Boyd.
1. Boyd, Isaako, Random BHQ member. Well let's take our only 5/8 and put him there.

And a game plan

Oh we have a game plan
The problem is it revolves around a plodder at 9 and a has been 1 at 6. Throw in a lost was-gonna-be-a-superstar playing at 1 when no-one really knows where he should play including himself and have the game plan executed by a guy trying real hard at 7 who has 5 games under his belt.
The worlds best forward pack in history is not gonna paper over this mess......

Just to be clear, I don't want Seibold gone and he definitely gets at least next year before I'd have any opinion on whether he should stay or go.

But I'm a fan of this club and I'll absolutely criticise the coach, every week even if I think he's holding back the club through either ignorance, stupidity, or stubbornness.

Ultimately every person in the NRL can see Boyd is no longer a first grader but only Seibold can move him out of our spine at the very least. That would be a huge improvement.

Macca just barely floats above reserve grade level but he's still getting selected with huge minutes every week.

He said lots of fluffy feel good crap when he signed up, bringing modern football, improving ruck control, effective attacking structures, lots of fluffy feel good stuff, he's not delivering, so I'll give him crap the same way I give it to Milford, who I don't want to lose either but he sure as shit can do better, like the coach.

I do think we'll be a better team next year but only if Boyd and Macca aren't still first choice spine players, or else, I think we'll regress even further.

I agree with almost everything you said, hence my paragraph of we and I will continue to complain and criticise the club, because it's our right as fans.

Ultimately my rant was almost pleading with the ones who seem to want to throw the baby out with the bathwater and expect wholesale changes to happen week in, week out.

That's fair enough too, man. Look I think we're a ways off but I also think a bit of musical chairs, telling a player or two to go on gardening leave, a bit of injury luck and we will be a top 4 team again.

Sacking Seibold would be a disaster, we'd have to start from scratch again, ultimately we've backed this horse and we need to let the race play out.

but apart from tragic attacking play from Boyd

This sums it up.
Everything else is secondary
I never thought it would be possible to ever top Hoggman as the worst Broncos 6 ever but Boyd makes him look like an immortal in waiting

We started looking better when we spread it from Lodge out to SoS. We need to get a bit more adventurous earlier in the tackle count to open the field up a bit. Though he didn't do much, we looked better with SoS in the team.

I think macca should be 7. Calm head good kicking game .... slow but if we have some speed outside him might work ok. Cook proved you need speed out of dummy half just to even hold the markers

From my view, people blaming Boyd and macca for this loss have lost all perspective of why we were beaten. They out-enthused us, and used their established spine that has been together for years to win them the game. We have Boyd and Milford still learning their roles and Milford trying too hard at times with the ball in hand and looking a little lost without it.
In contrast I thought Boyd looked more settled and not out of place but his lack of kicking is a problem. The short kicking game should really be his for the most part now, with Milford chiming in occasionally.
By trying too hard Milford is putting the rest of the team off their game and they look a little flat as a result.
Macca didn't do anything spectacular, but as soon as segyaro came on the flood gates opened on our defence. He didn't miss any tackles and I'm not sure if it was anything more than coincidental but it does happen a lot.
I thought seguaro could have chanced his hand with a run or two as well, since it is his strength and we saw from cook what speed in the ruck can do late in the game. It's why he is there in the first place after all.

What lost us that game was little bit of inexperience and some loose marker defence. We could of used a bit more variety in attack and I don't think we are any near patient enough to wear our opponents down. If we were prepared to do so, that close loss might have been an easy win. Hopefully they learn.

This is the first game in awhile that I've seen us even get the ball to Oates on the wing. If that happens every game we will see the Oates we used to see.
Also wasnt it when Seggy came on that we got torn to shreds through the middle.

Seibold built the cook machine, why isn’t he doing it with segeyaro? He’s a strange character

100% mate.
As painful as it looks to be, the worst part being the changes that need to happen being clear as day to fans of a bloody fan forum ffs.
Small tweaks in the off-season would create such an enormous change in the squad, but this has already been highlighted by most.

In saying what I said if changes haven't been made and this time next year we have a near identical side with the same issues, such as our main areas of distribution (6 and 9) the writing may very well be on the wall.

I don't post as much on here because I hate to just recycle what others have said, far more eloquently in most cases, but I have faith in us as fans to ride this wave out.
