Really annoyed we lost that. We simply have no structure or game plan. For all the people bagging Macca and Boyd, you should turn your anger on the bloke who can get them out of the team. I do believe they try their best, but their best isn't anywhere near good enough these days.

I'm seriously concerned about us going forward. If we dont kick on early next year, Seibs will be going the same way as Brennan. This suffering through this year had better pay off in 2020. The modern games has become so obsessed by stats, but its the stats that you cant measure thats the key to producing good performances. We need to get the little things right and do the basics well if we want to progress.

Of course I see it. How many halves and hookers have we played this year, not to mention swapping fullbacks. That’s right, inconsistent spine.
And that's mostly on the coach, but all the good coaches still have structures in place and like I said they're professionals.

Sutton was told to play the ball four times but refused to as his team were knackered and needed a break. Why he was not penalised for this is beyond a joke. The refs lost total control of the game there. They let Sutton do as he pleased.

Would a Bronco be given the same leeway with a game on the line? Their first try came from a play the ball that was played off the mark so both markers were nullified. Go back and listen to the game you can hear the non controlling ref shout "off the mark" but play is allowed to continue and Gagai scores. Souffs stepped to the side consistently at the ptb and were never once pinged for it even though the refs were aware it was going on.

It's my biggest peeve in the game at the moment. That take a half-step to the side to take the markers out of play, it's a deliberate tactic and the referees are letting teams cheat it all the time.

The fact Roberts shouldn't have been on the field at all at this point made it worse. An absolute crock of a decision.

Agreed. Teams know that we bunch up and have one out hit ups to get out of trouble. When we moved it out there they were surprised and there was room. Even if we dont make a line break, we make ground.

WB knew we dont control the ruck well, are slow getting back in a defensive position and struggle managing offloads, and his game plan was directed right towards that.

If seibs was sure not too much had changed out souths, why did we not have a game plan to take advantage of a team he knows quite well? Very disappointed.

You seriously think he had a good season last year? Fair enough if you do, I don’t. As for growth, i’m Not sure he has much in him.

He was easily our best player. This year he’s not. He’s regressed this year, pretty severely

Are any of those delusional fans who think Milford is a Fullback still around?

To think that Milford is playing a traditional fullbacks role is also delusional, he can't be five eigth and fullback simultaneously. Your lack of patience with Milfs transition into the role is surely just frustration?

Our immediate remedy to our broken spine is the removal of el capitano D.Void, replaced by someone more competent. Not until after a full pre season learning structures and combinations with quality halves will I admit that he is not a fullback.

I don't think we have truly seen Milf play fullback this year, we've seen him in this hybrid in-between which is showing us glimpses of brilliance but also hindering his game.

I am undecided on whether 1 or 6 is his best position, but he has a tendency to go missing in crucial moments and this is even easier for him to do when he is playing out the back. I also have to say that his support play is lacking (maybe an offseason training at 1 would help).

We either need to commit to him at 1 and pick some decent halves to give us the structure to allow him to thrive at fullback OR put him back in at 6 with a strong organising 7 and allow him to utilise his running game.

This in-between bandaid solution with Boyd in the 6 is hurting the club and the development of Milf as well as the young playmakers missing out on game time or being saddled with having to play alongside Darius

All eyes on Round 1 team next year...

No idea, didn't write the names down, there were several who were adamant we were a better team with him at Fullback and that it's comfortably his best position. I'd argue the exact opposite. We should be playing Milford & O'Sullivan in the halves with Isaako (or even Niu, if he's up to it) at Fullback, park Boyd at left centre, get him as far away from the action as we can.
I've come to the view he is neither and that it might be time to start thinking he has peaked and is now declining. Maybe we should be moving on from him.

Lol this. Also it's not like we don't have way better options to pick from. We are basically picking the worst player for every spine position.

9. Macca, Segs, Turpin. Who would honestly have Macca there?
7. Dearden, SOS, Turpin, Macca. Who do we pick? Turpin, of course. The logic is flawless.
6. Milf, SOS, Turpin, Boyd. Yep let's pick the worst option again. 5/8 legend, D. Boyd.
1. Boyd, Isaako, Random BHQ member. Well let's take our only 5/8 and put him there.

His selections have been baffling. Thats my biggest criticism of Seibs. If the team selections this year have all been his decisions, than that is bloody concerning in my opinion.

Right here. Milford is a fullback, not a half. Milf has never been a half.

The delusional fans are those who believe that Milford was a half for the past 4 years, and then expect that after 4 years in the halves, that he would, in only a few weeks, be back to career best form, which happened to be when he wore a 1.

He needs to stay there for the rest of the year, and next year. If in round 12 next year he's still struggling, which he really isn't that much, then maybe we should consider it.

I think it would be more interesting to see who gave Boyd chance after chance, excuse after excuse, but are also now calling for Milf to go.

Does anyone at all here have any knowledge of if Siebolds hands are tied in regards to Boyd being selected? Most of us just assume even myself that there are other forces in play here/hope. If not I’m genuinely concerned.

I think Milford's best position can be fullback, but he needs to buy into it to. He needs to play like a fullback, get the ball as a second receiver and support the ball runners. He still tries to play as a halfback, only doing it halfheartedly.

I think what is causing the conflict between people saying he is a half and others saying he is fullback is that seibold has not implemented any specific attacking plan to utilise him in, so he looks totally lost.

At the moment he gets the ball, runs around in a circle, across the field for a bit, some shimmying steps and is then tackled.

How many weeks for sua and Roberts?
Roberts maybe 2, sua 1. Should be more but they play for "the pride of the league".

If they were playing for us they would get 6-8 (especially Roberts)

since they are playing for Souths, i'm predicting a small fine
