What are your thoughts on who the broncos starting 17 will be
 
1. Bird
2. Oates
3. Staggs
4. Boyd
5. Arthars
6. Milford
7. Croft
8. TPJ
9. Turpin
10. Haas
11. Fifita
12. Glenn
13. Carrigan
14. McCullough (don’t think they’ll go with Paix yet)
15. Ofahengaue
16. Flegler
17. Kennedy/Bullemor (probably Kennedy)

I’d have the same side but with Farnworth at wing over Arthars. Keep Arthars ready to take over Boyd’s centre spot in a few rounds.
 
CM has a story about promoting Riki (should we get exemption) to first grade on the basis that Joe O cops a suspension for his booze snooze. Titans trial will be his audition for a middle forward spot

I’d be surprised considering we have a pack of Flegler, Haas, Patty, Fifita, Glenn, TPJ, Kennedy and at last resort in the top 30, Hopoate if we run a 3 forward bench. Unless we give him Perese’s spot if we make it vacant
 
Just re-watched the trial (yes I'm desperate for the footy to re-start), and one player I noticed was Coates. His game was nowhere near as bad as I first thought. Not a good game, bit of an off night, but he stuck to the 1 percenters still which is an excellent sign for a young fella. He cleaned up kicks, followed the play and took a few tough runs.

Also, bullemore was involved with attack at all. He would have been lucky to have had 5 runs I think. Not a knock on the young player but it may take him a little longer to be ready than round 1
 
I'll wait until after the next trial.
 
Staggs isn't a good enough goal kicker if Issako is pushed to q/c we can lose 6 points give or take a game and that's enough to get us a loss easily Issako needs to be wing at least.

What if Isaako is letting in tries though? Sorts of negates the kicking. Maybe he should try NFL where he get that one role as a punter.

but if Isaako keeps coming off his wing, like he is prone to do ... we can lose a lot more than 6 points

I’d been eyeing Niu for promotion but maybe that’s premature given our wealth of inexperienced outside backs.
