Ok I probably got carried away with the hyperbole and haven't been clear. I do not for one second believe that we are not at fault here, we have the worst management in the comp and they have ruined this team for the foreseeable future. At the same time I strongly reject the idea that the NRL are concerned or upset about our plight. I also do believe they have hit us harder than most with the six agains and penalties and it is important to them that we are not as strong when the new team comes in but if our own management didn't **** us so hard we could have easily overcome that.

Exactly.
The completion and error rates are abysmal too... instead of having a good hard look out ourselves it seems we are still harping on about the refs, set restarts, penalty counts, the NRL(NSWRL) while our head honchos are blaming current woes on player injuries/contracts, covid-19 and WB.

There is a saying that you should never attribute to malice that which can be explained by incompetence. Hanlon's razor.

All this talk of the Bronco's and conspiracy theories, 2nd team, refereeing etc seem fanciful. Good old fashioned incompetence seems to fit.

Until Vlandy's came along how could you credit the NRL with the intelligence to handle any conspiracy. What a thought!
 
I don't agree with Gus here. Vote with your hard earned dollar. Don't support mediocrity. When News Corp starts losing revenue from low memberships, poor: attendance, TV ratings, sponsorship etc. they'll be forced to change personel.

The Broncos are an integral part of the NRL machine, and its primary component north of the border. Cant have it flailing for too long or risk losing ground in the rugby league heartland.
Keep in mind, the financial fragility of the game and anything that risks losing money would be priority one for the NRL right now.

I don't think the NRL will take the challenge seriously to be honest, the Broncos are taken for granted but the Lions are the FAVOURITES, not just contenders and they are really good to watch, they play like the Lions of old.

I'll only get concerned when we get to our all time losing streak, we're not there yet.
 
this screams to me of phil Gould being so worried that if the broncos support dies so does the nrl.

wish he would have more faith in us then that. sure a lot of fair weather fans will turn off but id wager we still have more diehard fans that will support this shit team no matter what then most other teams have.

does go to show you how important the broncos are to the nrl though. i mean hell if any other team goes through this sort of slump its not talked about nearly as much but because its broncos its the only thing being talked about.

i kinda love it in a way.

while fans of other teams in the last few weeks were rubbing our nose in it and gloating about how great it is that we suck, alot of them now are starting to also get salty as **** cause all the media is talking about is broncos. and its quite funny to see them all get so butthurt over it realising how little there team matters in comparison.

still wish we would sort our shit out asap id much rather the penalty broncos meme and the salary cap tears over what we got now.
