Strike me pink! Did Oates not say, and I mean he was quoted as saying that Pies put him on the spot and asked him what position he wanted to play and Oates said he wanted to be a winger.
So last week he gets dropped, comes back in and is subbed on to replace TPJ in the second row. This week Pies provides demonstrable proof that he is so out of touch with his players by selecting Oates in the starting team IN THE SECOND ROW!
This has become laughable.

I think they're good decisions. Hass needs help and I think TPJ will be good support for him. Oates can't go back to the wing so give him a motivational move to backrow , if he still sux teo in.
The only thing that I could do better is Farnsworth to wing and isaako to center or swap with Niu.

Mate Oates flat out stated he wants to play wing. I agree with the TPJ move, but the Oates selection at 2nd row is fekkin ludicrous.

I do prefer tpj in the middle. Can lodge just go and get his knee fixed properly? i feel like they’re just delaying the inevitable, then he’ll be fit for next season.

Maybe he's not dropping players because deep down he knows the poor performances aren't their fault. It's his way of admitting he's a fat fraud who couldn't sort out a hot day in February, without having to give up the millions of dollars Whitey gave him.

The only change he made was doubling down on last weeks game losing momentum killer of moving TPJ to prop to accomodate Oates in the second row.

Who is going to come off that Bench and be the vital substitution to play Fullback for the last 15 minutes of the game?
Has Dearden ever even played Fullback before? Ben Te’o is a bit old to be trying a new position out. Surely he can’t be planning to play Tesi Niu at Fullback for the full 80 minutes?
