Maybe this is all a PR stunt, make us feel they pulled off an amazing signing with our backs to the wall . When in reality he was signing all along.

You are banking on all the youngsters to come good. That almost never happens. History shows that if half turn out to be regular first graders, then you've done well. The side will look nothing like this in 2022/23.

I see it happen in the nhl every year some upcoming player gets to negotiate his next contract without a long enough sample size, gets way too much can’t live up to it and cripples a team. Yes the player scores points at an above average rate but isn’t the driver of the team like smith, Cleary, keary and teddy. Unless it’s one of them it’s not worth it.

potential solution would be to up the minimum rookie that in the starting side and cap it for three years then you’ll know what he’s worth and can prepare accordingly, This current system is shit.

I reckon we let him walk and use his money to go after a good dummy half and five eighth to partner Dearden. A quality 6 with a bit of experience would be nice. Anyone have any good suggestions?

Hockey lost me when they started paying 20 goal scorers five million a season. Plus the fact that it is akin to "soccer on ice" these days. The game is in my blood but it is nothing like the sport I grew up playing and supporting. A lot of old timers say that about RL as well.

Grant is the obvious choice for the 9, but appears unlikely.

Yeah I would rather we pay for a quality spine. Would love to keep him but not for over what the Broncs are offering him. If he needs his mother to call his shots and back flips day to day then it shows poor character. If you tell somebody your signing you turn up and put your signature on the paper, only when the other party is not acting in good faith should you break a verbal contract.
 
I always wondered what the smell was at the Titans, I thought it may have been Gordie...............nope......................the place just reeks of desperation..............it oozes out of every fiber of that club.

$1.1M is just silly and totally irresponsible by the Titans, once again they seem willing to sacrifice everything just to big note themselves by getting one over the club down the road.
 
If Fifita is not worth 1.1m then we should not offer it - if he leaves it doesn't matter as he isn't worth that much. However we better hope we get someone better than him for that 1.1m and not another Milford, Bird or Boyd.

Had a look on Zero Tackle and there doesn’t appear to be too many quality players coming off contract that are unsigned for next season. There are a few that stick out, obviously Grant, but also Cotric, Tamou, Foran & Elliot. However, nobody that is going to fix our issues in one season.
 
I like the audacity of the loan proposal... I don't want to join your club but the money is too much to decline so how about I play for you guys for a year and then return to the Broncs.

What a nest of problems player managers seem to create, no wonder that industry needs a good clean out. The contracts they sign the young blokes up with seem to extract a pound of flesh and another pound if you dare to try and end them later.

Oh and grow some dignity please Broncos command. Just like catering to the whim and time frame of intended coach Bellamy was a horrible look and didn't play out that flash, the same here.. Develop some character and negotiating smarts and put a time limit on it.. Negotiation 101.
