Okay how about this. I will dole out your million gradually. You'll get it in weekly chunks. Still pretty nice coin, enough for you to get used to money never being an issue.
Unless of course, one week, unexpectedly... maybe at training. Maybe in a game. Maybe just getting out of the shower. Your knee pops. Or your ankle gets mangled. And then you never play another game or see another cent. And you put all your eggs in this basket. And assumed you had 10 more years to play. Does that sweeten the deal?

Remember when players didn’t put all their eggs in that one basket and the club made them work or study so they had something to fall back on and were reminded that they aren’t the kings of Brisbane? I feel like they were onto something then.

I mean, if you are seriously injured you'll have insurance covered by the club. It's a contact sport, you know the risks and what you are asking of your body.
If it doesn't work out in the event of poor performance, you're shown the door like thousands of other everyday people. Rugby League isn't a charity.

If you've been following Kent, this is just his way to extend an olive branch to Anthony Seibold. I'm not sure what happened between the two, but they had a good relationship up until things turned sour at the Broncos and Kent in recent times has attacked Seibs regularly. His main complaint is that he didn't make friends with the media, which if you read into it suggests they'll hound you unless you can help further their careers.
Kent is giving us a taste of what the narrative will be if Seibs plays a long and gives him some 'currency'. Seibold didn't screw the Broncos, the Broncos screwed the Broncos and Seibold was just the patsy in all of this. The bright eyed bushy tailed coaching extradinare who had the Rugby League world at it's feet who was going to revolutionize the attack and the players at the club sandbagged him as some sort of protest. Sure some things were said, but if you spent 15 minutes with this 'mob of dickheads' you'd drive yourself mad.
A good coach that's potentially been lost to the game all because of the toxic arrogant culture at the Broncos.
Now there's an element of that which is actually true, but no where near to the extent at what Kent is driving at and it ignores so many other facets.

Which is typical Kent behaviour. A kernel of truth which is blown out of all proportion to suit the agenda he is pushing or the attack he is making.

Take Jarryd Hayne. For months he was writing articles and telling everyone that Hayne was the problem with the Titans.
What happened? We discovered that the players were fine with Hayne, but couldn't stand Neil Henry who was revealed as a divisive character.
Kent has also proven himself vindictive - coming out and writing that the press would go after Hayne simply because he stood up to them.
What Kent said last night was not journalism. It was nasty. And it was cowardly - kicking a team while they're down.
Apparently there's no dickheads in the Roosters, Melbourne or Penrith! Yeaaaahhhhh riiiiiigggghhhhtttt!

Yes, well, I think PK might have a different set of criteria for judging a dickhead. Basically if you do not worship at the altar of Kent, you are a dickhead. My only concern about his comment is that having looked in the mirror a number of times a day for many, many years, he is an expert judge of a dickhead.
