OFFICIAL Broncos Sourced Player Movement and Confirmed Signings - Locked

The thing that worries me about Allen is Bennett didn’t want him and sent him to the rabbits. Bennett moves to the rabbits and doesn’t play him, signs Latrell to replace him, he finally looks to have proven himself somewhat and the rabbits rush to release him.

Bennett recently spoke about Allan, he said he had a lot of growing up to do at the Broncos and didn’t think he would make it there at the time but has impressed Bennett while at Souths and is a vital part of the team and wanted him to stay

So Wayne speaks out and backs him now it’s in Souths interest to have another team take over his contract 🤔

the one thing i will say about Wayne is that if he thinks a player is ready for regular first grade, but won't be able to get that under him ... he has no issues releasing a player, if they can get that regular starting spot.

Allen wouldn't be the first player he has done this with

Apparently John Asiata's manager has offered his services to a bunch of teams, including the Broncos. He's looking for a starting lock role.

Honestly, I think he could be a pretty handy signing, I think we've pretty much established that Carrigan is a prop - He doesn't have any of the attributes of a lock aside from being able to play big minutes, doesn't have the elite ball-playing ability, leg speed or offload to be a modern day lock.

Asiata has shown that he's one of the better ball-playing forwards in the competition when given the opportunity. As a team that's struggling with our attack, I think we could use him. Even if it's off the bench.

With that being said, I would only offer him a 1 or 2 year deal at around $250-300K, I don't think he's worth any more than that.

As I said a while back, hopefully it's only a 1 year deal and around that $250-300K mark.

I'm not sure he'll be starting at lock if Lodge, Haas & Carrigan are fit, but we'll see what happens, maybe Lodge will be offloaded.

So looks like Allan, Copley and Asiata are all but confirmed ins, it is a decent start.
If they are all cheap and reasonably short contracts, then it’s a pretty great start.

The same article said Lodge is staying, Bird is staying (because we can't agree to $$) and Offa will only go if a club will pay the majority of his contract. Take from that what you will from Michael Chammas.

What about Macca?
Still in Newcastle as of 12 hours ago. Has it even been confirmed that he’s returning? I know we are expecting a Kahu-like return but I’ve heard nothing about it.

Surely someone will pick him up for 300k
