Broncos Roster, Signings and Rumours Discussion 2021

Initial tests suggested it was either a severe compound fracture or a bit of a cut.
I really hope we don't re-sign Ben Te'o. He's probably good around training as an experienced old head but he's a useless footy player now.
I think he will be better after a full pre season. Came straight from rugby where he was catching a cold and had some time off before he joined the squad. Agree with the other post that he will be a positive influence too.

Actually it started earlier when Brent81 criticised Bennett's rationale for not signing Pearce when he had the chance. The post in question was connected to that conversation and it's odd that somebody would hold Roberts against Bennett when Roberts played his best footy under him. The proof is in the picture, when did he achieve higher representative honours? Surely there's a better example out there than Roberts?

Rubbish, I've been critical of Bennett in the past. However when we're discussing the most successful NRL coach in history, the good is largely going to outweigh the bad in a Rugby League context.

I'll leave it there.
Refer to my previous post.

I haven’t been involved in any conversations about Pearce or Lodge or anyone else. As I said, this tangential-conversation is about Bennett fixing Roberts at Souths, which he very deliberately said he would and did against the wishes of the Rabbitohs.

It’s like being a wedding photographer. Your job is to capture the special moments of that one day. If you don’t, your client doesn’t care how good your photos of the previous wedding are or how good any of your future wedding photos might be. You failed them, plain and simple.

So, what Bennett did with Roberts at the Broncos is of absolutely zero consequence when we are talking about his time at the Rabbitohs.

I think Bennett has helped Roberts as a person immensely, but its still not going to be enough for him I dont think.

I agree but I hope you are wrong. I'd love to see Roberts carve it up for the Tigers and get his life together.

Could a paix/dearden halves pairing work going forward 2022 onwards?
Or too young?
Really don't think paix will play in the halves, have far too many options now i think he'll stay on the path of manufactured Hooker.

So would I but he really needs to focus on his game and clean up his act off field.
The tigers are probably his last chance. If he mucks up there I can’t see him getting any more offers.
Not sure McGuire is the best coach for him though.
Anyway good luck to him.

He’ll carve up against the broncos, don’t you worry

There’s always super league

Real talk though, does anyone see us not coming last? And if so, what’s your reasoning? Because the bulldogs are looking significantly better, Titans won’t be anywhere near the bottom, Cowboys will do a lot better also having Morgan back and hopefully a fitter Holmes and the sea eagles surely can’t have a worse injury run than they did this year.

Probably wanted more than we are willing to pay.

Any ideas what the bulldogs’ offer is? Our funds/cap must be so bad because I’d take Allen over Coates every day of the week.

Not sure mate. He was rumoured to be looking for $500k a year, but id say he may have got around the $400k mark. Really dont have any idea.

If it’s around the 400-500k mark surely we could have gotten him unless he really hates the broncos

Yes... our forward pack is stacked this time with a little more maturity leadership and experience and less incompetence... I believe our spine will thrive under kevvies tactics and as long as our weaker outside backs can defend well and run hard & straight as well as catch a ball we will be any where from top 4 through to definitely fucken not last
