Honestly baffling, Isaako definitely won us some through some clutch plays and goal kicking.

Yet forum faves like Carrigan and Dearden dont get the same leper treatment. Prob Dearden will watch and see over the next year but Carrigan is another Stagg/Tolman type...average

it's a bit early to be making that judgement, isn't it?

I thought the Carrigan love was just a meme? He's massively overrated if not.

I'm sure you will see the error of your ways at the end of 2021. Hopefully we will be seeing him in his proper position of Prop this year. He carried our pack towards the end of last year, especially in the games we lost Haas for. His workrate was phenomenal and I can only see better things for him and Haas playing reduced minutes and not being flogged into the ground every week.

Yeah he’s a tackle bot. Tries hard and has his head screwed on but definitely just a Ben Hannant / Aidan Tolman type. Of our forwards, he is probably the only one who hasn’t truly had a stand out game. Flagler has had some great games / moments, of course so too have haas and tpj. Lodge as well has had some strong games (none of which were in 2020). And as much as Glenn cops it here, he has had some games where he has basically won it for us with a try or some really good defence.

Yeah this is my take as well. Hopefully we’re wrong

I'd love to know what drugs you are on.
sorry mate...if we could fool the other clubs for a swap he'd be the first.
maybe for a Rudolf or a Matangi type - a hard running off the back-fence-type

They would be more of a swap for a Flegler type forward.

The absolute dribble in here regarding Carrigan. I get the push back to the meme that he’s the next messiah, and he definitely has room to improve as far as decision making with his lines and hit ups but the kid is stellar.

Last year was his second season and he was playing 80 minutes a game consistently, which is completely unreasonable, and he still performed very well. Keep in mind too that he has played all of his professional football under Seibold and out of his preferred position.

19 games in 2020:
He averaged:
156m!
15 hit ups
454 tackles at 93.3% efficiency

Also made a total of 24 tackle breaks and 9 offloads

I don’t know what else you could want from a middle forward in their second season, all while playing under the worlds worst coach in a wooden spoon team.

3 maybe? Dunno, but he is cod ordinary. He had a rough trot no doubt, but that doesn’t account for years of crap, no passing or ball-playing game to speak of, no great defensive ability, no support game and not much more than someone who can run the ball, a bit.

He strikes me as Hoffman mark 2. A service-able winger when he can hold the ball and that’s about it.

I hope he proves me wrong. But he has had years to do that now and hasn’t done it yet. If he is fullback, we’ll be getting bombed out of games this year for sure.
Bit harsh on Hoffman, he was a great winger.

Yes, but we're already paying them, so we'd be forking out another $500k and still wouldn't have a proven fullback.
Same as the 400k we spent on a proven halfback.

Many injuries happened and his club coach was also the Queensland coach, that's why he got the gig. I'm not the one saying walsh is better, people who have watched walsh play through the grades are expecting him to be our fullback. Time will tell but it's obvious that the broncos were happy to pass on Allan. This Luke walsh sounds like a good one though
Don’t forget Allan can also play centre and wing, would’ve been a smarter stop gap than say Copley?

You usually are so I think we will be fine.
Example?

The only thing I've really stuck my neck out over is Pies and we all know how that turned out.
