I’m actually so glad they’ve taken it to the next level, they’re only putting a bigger target on themselves and I sincerely hope that when a team beats them they all go around and individually handshakes and nod to each one of their team mates.
You'll get to see it live at Suncorp... in Round 10 ;)

If a team is awarded 6 again due to an infringement such offside but immediately drop the ball (for example 6 again is called during a tackle because of offside but during the tackle the ball is lost) is it ruled no advantage and the penalty blown? Or is it a knock on and the defending team given the ball despite the error being caused by an offside player?

Intuitively I assumed a penalty is given for offside as the 6 again call resulted in no advantage and the error was only due to a player who was offside. If this is the case, I would coach my players to purposely drop the ball when in our own half so we are given the penalty and can kick for touch.

I've noticed ( I think) quite a few teams going lower and driving into tackles the last 2 rounds.
Is it just me or has anyone else noticed the same.

If anyone actually needed a reason to hate those Storm scum, i'm about to give you that reason...

The Storm have admitted to taking advantage of the concussion law for Cameron Munster, in order to get a tactical advantage and a FREE interchange

Storm general manager Frank Ponissi says:

“Munster was a tactical one,” admitted Storm general manager Frank Ponissi, “There was nothing wrong with him. He said Radley hardly got him.

“To be brutally honest we were surprised Radley was sin-binned.”

Storm general manager Frank Ponissi realises what he said and tries to backtrack on his comments:

“He passed his on-field test but we wanted to be doubly sure,” Ponissi said

“Our main doctor was in the dressing room doing an HIA with Ryan Papenhuyzen.

“Our second doctor checked the vision then sent Cameron straight back out.”

Corey Parker and Dane Carlaw say what we're all thinking

That's disgraceful, shame nothing will come of it.

I thought he had to come off because play was stopped for him. Isn't that a rule now? If you stay down and they have to stop play, you've got to come off for two minutes or something?

Why has the NRL done nothing about this? I mean I know the actual reason but why are they not at least pretending to do something?

The leading online story on Foxsport news was the inconsistency of ref's decisions surrounding head-high shots this weekend. They spoke of the send of the Bulldogs Hetherington, the sighting of Souths Mitchell for leading with the forearm and kicking out and Radley's sin bin for hit on Munster. For some mysterious reason Momorovski's hit on Deardon was ignored completely despite him being cited and facing a 3 game ban. By including Deardon's incident in the report it would have shown that there was an even wider gulf in how the refs were officiating games, but the journo somehow neglected to mention it.

Why was the most blatant stuff up by the NRL ref/bunker not even mentioned I wonder?

The Bulldogs medico should have been removed from doing HIA assessments, as well as the fine they got, after Lachy Lewis was concussed.\
Also just before Cleary kicked that field goal the commentators were remarking how he copped a knock and was left on the field.
Not a word about that and I don't expect there will be.

They did mention it on the Sunday morning footy show, but it was inconclusive as they were not able to find a wide shot of him stumbling. Take that as you please. But to claim they only had one tight shot of the incident is utter bullcrap.

So Hetherington could be out for six weeks + a penalty + a sin bin.

Momirovski just 3 weeks but we didn't even get a penalty. Stupid sport.

Why does Vlandys seem to believe he can tell everyone what to do, think, say and feel? He's told the NSW government they should have given Raudonikis a state funeral. Whether or not this is true is irrelevant, he just irks.
