Yeah nothing about that video says to me he is going to jump ship to Redcliffe. He knows he could easily be the captain after Reynolds. Just the huge grin he has on his face talking about the previous year and the future of the broncos even with his injury and his future uncertainty shows he loves the club. Their is a lot of people who forgot how good he was and their is nothing I would rather more than to see him stay.

Badel reporting that it's a 2 year $500K per year extension to keep him at the Broncos until the end of 2024.

No wonder Haas is pissed off at being on 600k then, and Capewell supposedly on 450k. Carrigan at 500k is honestly a shit deal. They should have tabled 400k and let him walk. This is probably the first decision from DD/Ikin that I completely disagree with but time will tell.

BTW, they've lowered the 600k value Haas is being paid for this round of articles.
when it was initially reported earlier in the year the reports said we were giving him an extra 200k+ which would make it 700k he was on this year. probably thought better and decided to lower their reports to better suit their argument.

Yeah they seem to change figures on demand to suit the narrative. I'm hoping Carrigan is really on closer to 400-450k and it's just Badel feeding BS figures. No doubt if Carrigan leaves in future he'd have been on 300k.

on Carrigan, while it is probably 50k overs, I get the feeling from reading the comments from Ikin, that they were happy to pay that given what he brings off the field as much as on it

Broncos news has dried up. They're been bumping the stories online with minor updates and headline tweaks. I think Pete is already in Christmas party mode. He's been pretty slack lately.
Pretty much this. Sometimes there's an expanded quote, correction or new photo. Mostly it's the online subs rejigging the headlines. Maybe they've got nothing better to do than tweak shit and it's sorted by the edit date.
I can understand why they do it but it gets a bit old opening the same stories all the time. Literally.

It's possible the extension included a bump in pay for 2022 as well, it may not be $500k per year. Similar situation to the Flegler contract.
