2. Perese/ Coates/ Kennar or Oates if he accepts a reasonable deal
5. Isaako (still young and dedicated enough to turn it around)
6. Foran (swap with Milf)/ Milf, Croft or Sezer if Foran isn't possible
8. Lodge (c)
I don’t get the obsession with NRL clubs and getting up early to do training. Why not train from 4pm onwards? They usually play at 8ish, and it allows for the players to get guaranteed good rest. Maybe have them come in earlier, say 12, for review and stuff, but 8am or earlier for training is...
I'm not sure I want either of them. Glenn, if he is re-signed on 200-250k to sit on the bench, would probably be preferable because it'd be better for our cap and he's a senior figure who isn't a laughing stock like Macca or Boyd.
What's wrong with targeting Holmes? He was unbelievable before he left, like Turbo, Teddy, RTS tier. It solves one issue in our spine, get Foran/ Sezer on a Blake Green type stop gap deal with him and we're cooking with gas.
The Cows really have no idea, do they? Are they going to pay Holmes a mil to sit on the wing? They have a quality FB already with huge upside and on a reasonable salary, they need to spend money on quality outside backs that won't cost them big bucks: they need depth. As an aside, they have...
Remember Watmough's decline? He used to be the best forward in the comp for a time and then turned to utter shit, same deal with Berrigan when he was at the Raiders and Orford too. Boyd is no different, and Gillett is quickly entering this category as well.
EDIT: I misread your quote lol, I...
It's simple for Boyd, if he doesn't walk away you put him in Qcup and tell him to never show his face at Red Hill again. We can carry his contract for a year and then use the 700k to upgrade Fifi when he's off contract. If the club gives him 15 games next year the horror will continue.
Foran is still number 1 for me (pending a medical). Plays 6 naturally so won’t step on Dearden’s toes, is experienced, is in great form, has won prems, and is a better player in general than Croft and Sezer.
I think if we make like 5th or 6th next year and have a few key signings on the way for 2021 (like Ponga) then it will be borderline acceptable. It also hinges on how he cuts the crap over the off season.
He’ll retire when Smith does or soon after when the storm are floating in about our recent position at the bottom of the 8. When he does that’s when we should get him in the Broncos organisation in the role that we offered Wayne.
