Was going to say exactly this. I know they don't want to reign in his exuberance, but there's been issues with it all year (forcing low-percentage passes on half breaks) and it doesn't look like he's been pulled up on it.
It really worries me if it might become a Latrell situation, where...
Just a note. Topine's manager is none other than Tyran "best promo video ever" Smith. Not saying his claims are without merit, but his manager is a halfwit.
All of the Storm momentum plays come off them deliberately playing the ball off the mark and/or not playing it properly and tunnel-balling. The main culprits of course are the big names, because the refs are just piss scared of blowing the whistle against them. The one time the Rabbitohs tried...
The fizzler.
Every time he got the ball in Origin they all of a sudden lost all enthusiasm and declared the ball would die with him. I don't recall them ever being wrong either, it was late in his career and IIRC he was playing on the wing and he derped it every time.
We've won the last two. Granted, not the best opposition, but winning's winning.
Why not keep these depth players hungry - name the same team as last week and tell them their positions are theirs to lose. I definitely wouldn't be against Reynolds having an extra week off, but Haas as well TBH...
I was more pissed with his try last week being denied. Zero separation, new interpretation says there doesn't need to be control if it never separates.
I think the story went that he thought it was a bullshit charge and took the suspension as a protest. But obviously didn't think about how it penalised the team and changed his mind too late.
I hate this. But bombed at least 3 certain tries, another two half-chances, a few laughs when it happened but we've now let in 2 tries. Not nearly good enough.
Kayo glitched up just as Walsh scored his second try. Had to restart the stick and by the time it was back up the half was over. Then I read about Hetherington's hit and had to find it. Scrubbed back to see him standing in front of a mangled player with Voss's voice HEYOOOOOOOOOO over the top...
My concern is that, regardless of their form, we have shown a tendency to get dragged down by grubby teams. The Raiders are one of the worst at the moment. You would hope that Kev has a word to the NRL about our best players being targeted by cheap shots, and that the refs will be on to it. And...
Not necessarily. Jensen has (rightly so) been getting a lot of praise for his work - I can't believe he was surplus to the Cowboys' needs, though I think at the time some people were saying he just needed a change of scenery.
Potentially 3 with Te Kura. Ben had an outstanding game last week and it looks like X tried to go one better. Nothing flashy, just hard running and tackling. Kev will be challenging them both.
I don't agree regarding Haas. We put on plays last night with Ezra and Walsh but there was very little space for them to work with - this is where we are missing Haas. The plays would normally go on the back of his runs where he needs 3-4 defenders to stop him and stays on his feet for a fast...
