Nothing yet. Leave it with me. Last I heard when this thread was started was that they’re essentially babying him and allowing the behaviour. Schoolboy stuff.
My worries aren’t for current Selwyn anyway. It’s the future if he doesn’t start taking this seriously.
With no proof. The comment was made about him giving up on a play. That was 100% lazy. Argue that point.
Then I got told from people at the club that he wasn’t showing up to training on time. I value their perspective more than people who just like to argue on the internet.
This one is based on my own opinions, not those based in the club who actually know.
The way Slater speaks rubs me the wrong way. Like he’s trying to sound poetic. Plus him not selecting Oates last year and continuing with Coates this year are very poor decisions
Edit: plus I just said I’m not...
Just listening to him speak, I think he is believing his own hype. He’s made a lot of dumb choices in what, 6 games? I’m not sold yet. Seems intelligent enough but if he starts to believe he can’t make mistakes then he’s not going to be a shit coach.
I don’t think he did much at all. There was a try he should have scored but was too slow and his first pass to Reynolds was way out in front of him and nearly led to a knock on
I do enjoy him on the field but has he done anything close to what he did in the last ten minutes of the Dragons game? That’s the only game he’s ever blown wide open. Otherwise he just makes a lot of metres. He’s still not a 1.1 million dollar player.
