Got him just in time for the main event. Face value, very big ask for Horn. Mind you, I didn't think he'd beat Pac and here we are.
Horn is scrappy and a bit awkward, if he can fight like he did against Pac he might frustrate Crawford a bit. Jab his way in, clinch up, throw a few in short then...
Some good signings there. Quality halves are a big coup. Dead shame Moran is going to be out for this year, thought she did well to pull Aus back into the world cup final after a scrappy first half.
It's a big ask, but crazier things have happened.
NSW have the better team on paper, but if they can be unsettled early, provoked into penalties and errors, they may crack. If it is to be, I think we need a huge game from Munster especially.
Such an intriguing match up tonight. Two very different sides from last year.
Blues side is full of strike, but has the potential to be erratic. Previously they've tried to match Queensland and grind them down with little success. Tonight they'll be looking to torch us from the get go...
I've still got Cowboys. More outs but Twin Turbos are Manly's best. JT has been sub par but i think majority of their issues are down to fluency in key positions. Perchance he rises to the occasion as the only guiding hand tonight.
Whoever loses, I'll still be a happy man.
Yep, certainly his best effort this season. I'd warrant he's still physically hampered but he put his back into it tonight. Hopefully he can sustain that from now on....
Not always pretty but I'm OK overall. We struggled for fluency at times, were on the wrong side of the penalty count, yet we made our shots count when we had them.
More than anything, I was impressed with our composure. Aside from a few tense moments after their intercept we stuck in the groove...
Norman and Gutherson switch is interesting. More touches for Gutho is a good thing as he really competes on every play.
Norman to FB not so convinced by. His vision and passing served us well when we played him there but I have yet to see weaker goal line efforts. If he comes up into the line I...
Well, neither combination is set in stone, but if it's Maloney/Cleary against Munster/Hunt, I'd give the edge to the Blues.
Re: Boyd and Scott, I expect Boyd will miss the cut, and thought Scott was going to be sidelined with MCL. Aside from that, I think it's a huge issue to lose Smith for...
Yeah, I don't see it.
Ball is squarely in Freddy's court this year. NSW have QLD covered pretty much everywhere other than at FB and centre (Chambers).
If Smith was still playing, the disparity between him and any of the Blues' options is vast, but he's decided to sulk off into the sunset...
Agreed. Much as I dislike Walker, very poor from Scott. Not like he took exception to a high tackle or cheap shot. Cops some chat and just loses the plot.
Ridiculous if he puts Walker on the sidelines for a number of weeks and doesn't do comparable time.
Cam says it's not his go though.
It's an interesting one, Taga is obviously reliable enough that we could get value out of him for bigger minutes.
My theory is that we're using him as a safety net of sorts for our younger forwards. Intent is to build up their endurance and confidence as their development is a long term play...
