Genuine question as I'm not super familiar with how the QPS operate - but do they make it a habit to openly release statements of innocence for parties that are neither arrested nor charged formally?
Should it though? This is all too little, too late. They are kind of relying on Stephen Bradbury'ing their way into the finals at this point where it's not all within our control. Nor is this team beating a serious top 8 team in the finals. Fitness and defence are bottom 4 and have been all year.
I'm not sure recycling failed NRL coaches has ever really worked well save for a few very rare examples like Cleary who I really feel inhereted a great setup the second time round with great supporting coaches like Ciraldo etc.
If we can't buy a great incumbent by throwing BIG $$ at them, then...
he very well may, given how we're performing I wouldn't be surpised to see him go. Haas seems quite fair-weather, he'll probably request a release before the end of the year also.
There's a good reason he's not coaching an NRL team right now. You remember his last regular coaching gig at the tigers right? After being sacked from the Rabbitohs...
Walsh is trying to be a one man army - he's got the raw talent but needs to play within himself and unfortunately needs some really strong guidance and leadership to hone him into a powerful weapon.
It's clear he's not getting that with the current leadership.
If it's turning out to be a bit of a nothing story he'll likely return in a week. Hopefully they let him get over his injury, little point rushing him back.
I actually hope so.
The only way to rebuild is to acknowledge that drastic change is required. Kev needs to go and only through total humiliation will that happen.
