At the start of this season I thought our real test wouldn’t come until we play the top sides mid-season. We’ve failed our 1st test.

For me, our first real test would be against aggressive applied pressure. So far, we are failing badly. Disconnected, timing isn’t there, no energy. This is a real test for Kevvie, our second half.

At last, a class FB ... and playing like one. How refreshing. How looooong has it been?
Staggs is becoming the beast he is and Haas is Hass, best prop in the game, and starting to play like it more consistently.
My argument is simply that our true mettle is yet to be tested by a full strength (or thereabouts) top 4 side especially now 4 games in. Our real tests will be v Bunnies, Dogs and Manly, and I am not in any way diminishing our excellent performances, in the context I described.

That is not a fair comparison. They were playing their first game without API and Kilau amongst others. They looked lost and disorganized, and yet they went down by 1. Good effort for mine, and from now on, for mine, they remain the team to beat

Can’t agree. We were sloppy, as a team, and individually, but still won. However, on our performance tonight, I reckon if they had their full strengths side tonight, they win.
Good win. At the same I reckon it’s important not to lose sight of the fact they wee without Kaufusi, Katoa, JM-King, Ese’Ese, and SOS for half the game and Niu a complete passenger (admire his courage).
