    VOTE POTS 2017 Round #1 @ Sharks

    3. Boyd 2. Kahu 1. Gillett Sims had some really good moments, but also some lazy ones in defence.

Mitchell Dodds signs for 1 year

Needs to run the ball more but can be a useful cog to offset the likes of TPJ, Ofa and Ese'ese. As others have mentioned, is a Bennett kinda player and imagine he'll be a fixture on the bench. Hopefully not at lock though - need someone more dynamic.

    RUMOUR: Eels interested in Hunt

I'll try. Side note, if you're ever around Sydney town. Give a holla. Down here these days. Footy friends lacking.

    RUMOUR: Eels interested in Hunt

Would be very surprised if Hunt left considering the club allowed Taylor and Jayden Nikorima to go. The current spine is good enough to win a comp. Almost bloody did.. Next year is big for Hunt though, really needs to start taking more control. Watch Cronk over and over, especially kicking-wise.

POST GAME Round 14 - Broncos vs Raiders

Hook was using him as a battering ram, which he hated.

    Who replaces Macca?

Start with Kodi - gut feel says Bennett will at some point. Maybe the week after Manly. Keep Waddell in the 17, for now. But surely Alex Glenn could shovel some passes out of dummy half for 10-15mins per game?

    PRE-GAME Round 9 - Sharks vs Broncos

I'd be very surprised if Waddell wasn't starting. Would like to see Nikorima start a few games in McCullough's absence though. He's paid his dues off the bench and deserves a few run on appearances. Just not this week against Cronulla..

Intrust Super Cup Discussion - 2016

The team is top of the comp, do we need refreshing? Parker is so valuable in this side, to a lesser extent Glenn. His impending retirement is a reason why Glenn's value will increase. The young blokes will get a shot around Origin - and some top performances then could put some pressure on...

Broncos could struggle to keep Gillett

Of course there will be interest. His game went to another level last year. Can't see him leaving though. As others have said, he's an important cog in the forward pack going.. forward. The club knows, can't see him not getting a handsome deal.

POST GAME Round 1 - Eels vs Broncos

On Roberts' footy.. he seems to operate best with depth and early ball. Something the Broncs don't really seem to give the centres regularly. But he'll improve, hopefully can link more through the middle with Milford/offloads. But pretty sweet to get any sort of win, on the road, post WCC. And...

Intrust Super Cup Discussion - 2016

A few tidbits.. Sunshine Coast will be one of the big improvers next year. Wynnum have picked up two good young backrowers in McBryde and Barr which will help counter the loss of Frei. Norths surely can't go any worse. Hoping Maeli Seve can crack a regular Cup berth, dangerous footwork...

    Intrust Super Cup 2015

Interesting player Capewell. Very good footwork, can sort of skip across field and poke in between defenders. Bit like a more rangy Gillett. They're snapping up the Jets though! Big challenge for the club next year.

Jayden Nikorima to Sydney Roosters on 3 year deal

Sucks to lose Jayden, Taylor and Parcell. Not even long tern, but if something happens to Milford, Hunt or McCullough next season.. we're kinda up the creek?
  17. ethos

    Parcell vs. KNik

I'm just glad that Bennett sees the value in using a sparky dummy half off the bench. At this stage, reckon Parcell is slightly better defensively but Kodi seems more confident in his running game. Plus he's pulled out big plays at crucial moments. Parcell looks a bit hesitant about when to...

    Game Two

Yeah, they won't make any changes bar injury but if Mal is going to use Gillett for only 20 mins, you'd rather 20 minutes of Napa/Papalii - especially if Queensland is on the front foot at the time.
