Well, good luck Herb, you've earned the right to choose your own destiny...you stayed through some shit years and still showed your quality.
He wont be the last to move between the 2 Brisbane clubs i can assure you.
I think he has to stay in the 13. We are, after all, paying him this year...
I want him to stay too...for the right money.
He keeps showing glimpses...but also makes mistakes which are costly.
At a minimum, this year i'd like to see the gap between those 2 narrow.
This is a big year for him though...
Can he stay healthy when the team needs him most?
Can he develop a level of consitency in his game?
Can he live up to his contract? At the moment he is under performing relative to the money paid.
At his best, he is one of very few genuine strike centres...
...it does make sense someone like Flegs would appeal...Manlys front row depth is very thin. I still contend though there is a price point with him where you're better off letting him leave.
Someone mentioned the fact Marty could be a good influence on some of the Polynesian boys in the roster.
I think that thought has a lot of merit.
Beside, 1 year deal means Brisbane lose little if that isnt the case, they can decide to let him go..
We are desperate to have another Campion...
QRL is going nowhere, they have shown their hand here and in a few years Ikin wants to make the change im sure they will still fall over themselves..
Frankly, to leave now means Ikin doesnt really leave Brisbane with any kind of legacy does he?
The club needs a few consecutive years where the...
Good resigning, hasnt broken the bank. This speaks more about Mozer than Paix IMO.
Brisbane are going to slowly build Mozer up to a NRL level hooker, having Paix for a few years means we can take our time with Blake.
Rather than push him into a role in the first team he isnt ready for.
These front office tensions need to be sorted out during the off season...and then some...
Im hearing, though cant possibly confirm, that Dobbo and Tallis having a direct line both into the club via KW and thus out due to their media positions is now becoming a serious headache.
Ive no problem...
Oh well...season over.....at least no-one came out on the field after full time and kicked a "baby ball" onto the field...
Oh no.....ive not forgotten "that" little incident...
In the NBA you often see guys traded by GM's when a coach has a hard on for them.
The reason being that the GM's job is to use the draft to improve the roster, and if a obstinate coach keeps playing a limited vet over the new shiny toy then the GM looks like he picked a turd.
So they often...
Im sure Slater has one eye on the Storm job in a few years anyway...
KW is safe for now, and he should be given next season too.
No -one is immune from critiscm for "that" performance though..
But the club has made massive strides this year. Dont let one regular season game blind you from...
What a disaster.....im still shocked......are we about to let such a promising season slip straight through our fingers?
I will need time to digest this, but its unacceptable...
Mind you, no team punishes you for every single error you make in a game quite like the Storm.
We are not a top 4...
Suppose we should study how exactly we could get the W against the rapidly improving Storm.
With Patty missing, a lot of our link play to get Arey into his best positions is missing right now, but TMM return couldnt have been better timed..
Not much going on until Arey gets the ball with...
Im looking but honestly cant find too much to say about Newcastles attack right now.
Jake Clifford looked good last week but broke his arm i believe..
This really should be a matter of "how many" we win by rather than "we should win" type of game.
Not that we should be complacent - hopefully...
