A few players have already lined him up with barbs on line. Mathew lodge i think was particularly vexacous of him. I suspect he will be one of many soon.
Wonder if its for capewell. He didnt look good for a while there and i think if there are any doubts id rest him.
His defence has not been at its best but his attack has been on point with numerous tries/line breaks.
I think a rest might be good for whatever has been niggling him anyway.
All i remember are games where you might get 1 spectscular catch of a bomb followed by 7 or 8 dropped balls at either end of the field. I rate arthurs a better winger and am quite happy with him there.
There is a spectacularly high ceiling with coates but he wont get there playing wing season...
As someone has already said ponga just needs to be fit. Ponga will probably play round 1 with walsh 18th man. If we lose or he is quiet though it may be that he will have played his last origin for a while at least.
The most important thing slater would have taken from this game with manly is...
To be honest i think its fair. It had no impact on the result or even the score and was purely a stuff up.
As for the dispute about walsh getting the team going forward. Thats not his job. Hes there to exploit gaps and weaknesses.
Thats pretty hard to do if your team is being stifled in metres...
Reported souths had 14 on the field, but only for 33 seconds. Not sure what happens there to them but nothing good. Bulldogs lost two competition points but that was during a try scoring situation. This apparrently wasnt. Russel might be getting his cheque book out.
Excellent game from the broncos. I was really impressed with their start and whilst they lost their second half on the board i was stilly fairly happy considering they were down a man.
If they cite haas what will players do on the line. I would just line up a giant close to the line and rack up...
He looked a lot like his previous games of recent where he would switch off on his concentration. He made a few mistakes but the more worrying thing for me was that his runs out of our end looked pedestrian compared to the other backs. He looked lost a couple of times in attack and im not sure...
I know it wont happen but with oates back next week and flegler with him, id be keeping arthurs on wing and drop cobbo for a game. Id definitely find a spot for hethrington in that 17 if not the 13. Id stick with carrigan at lock for now but hethrington is a good back up.
As for cobbo, hes a...
Hes such a good front man for this club. He says all the right things and is a huge asset to this club on and off the field.
I hope theres a spot for him somewhere at this club when he is finished because hes too good to not be picked up by someone afterwards. That brain of his is razor sharpe.
I like your jogsaw analogy. Many teams have won premierships without that piece. The bulldogs did without a standout half and the 2006 broncos had a journeyman half. Not too many people around will remember the fullbacks for the 92 and 93 broncos sides.
Usually the bloke filling in until that...
Yeah you could but i grew up with him terrorising an entire state 3 times a year and couldnt imagine anyone else there. He was like Hulk Hogan and his flair and superman in a moroon (always "marone" to me) suit combined into one.
In all honesty lockyer deserves to be there, but no dominated an...

This is kevie's test and its something even wayne bennet struggled with, with the broncos.
Theres something in our DNA that lets us take on any team, no matter good and beat them, only to find a downright horrible team and invite them to win.
I havent seen it in us this season but that doesnt...
Seriously if this the worst thing you can find to report on its time to explore writing that novel every journalist dreams about. If that was kevie or bennet i would feel the same way about this:
Namely that this is a complete waste of everyones time and Sienold (as much as i doubt his coaching...
I thought what kevie said in the presser was sage wisdom, and i think hes all over what needs to be done.
Credit where credit is due hes no small part of us being 4-0.
Our club is in a good place right now in regards to people on and off the field.
His kick chase is exceptional. Its not often noticed by fans but he nearly always there. Right now id put him ahead of capewell in terms what he is producing on the field (capewell brings that leadership though which is vital)
I agree with you milford played well. His kicking was dangerous and he took the line on quite well. With a fit half he may have gone even better.
The key for him now is to back it up . He too often slackens off after a big game and at this stage of his career thats a deathknell to...
