The play that hurt me the most was the first Panthers try - short drop out, knock back to nobody but Panthers.
Easiest try you'll ever score, and we give it to them early in a GF.
Gift them 6 points on a platter and lose by 2, FMD
None taken ya silly old git 😉
How do we see it and a guy like Reyno doesn't? Well I'd say mainly pressure, and split second decision making.
As for Alf? I;m not sure, perhaps he doesn't sit in the genius section either 😉
If that stat is true, 37% chance of swinging the momentum, then yes you absolutely go for it, but not every time.
Know when you go for it? When you need a momentum change. And correct me if I'm wrong, you don't need a momentum change when you're leading a GF. You need high percentage plays.
I...
The thing I cannot tolerate is not reffing to the rules. If that reffing effort in the GF is considered the standard, it shouldn't come from a ref changing interpretations, it should come from changing the damn rules. Every game, from round 1 to the GF and SOO, should be reffed to the rules...
With reference to the Walsh incident;
Random sledges NRL player, NRL player responds with violence or racial etc slurs = bad
Random sledges NRL player, NRL player sledges back = play on
The fact that it's even being investigated is a commentary on how soft this world has become.
The Broncos have been to 7 Grand Finals, and won 6 of them.
The only GF I have attended was the one they lost.
I will not be attending this one.
Feel free to thank me this time next week 😂
I didn't think it lacked class, nor was it disgraceful.
It was real. He actually spoke truth, how he genuinely feels.
For me it was a refreshing change from the usual meaningless clichés they seemingly read from a list of club approved 1 liners.
Nothing ordinary about it! He strikes the perfect balance between compassion for the person and disdain for the club.
He actually says Paps doesn't deserve it, no player deserves it.
The club, with all it's cheating and tactics, deserves all it gets, but it is genuinely sad for the individual...
No mate, your point was clear. KW cannot win coach of the year due to him making a particular decision, despite there being no evidence that said decision is a factor in deciding who receives the award.
Except it doesn't. You can do everything right as a pro athlete/team and still not win.
Simply not winning a particular game or the premiership doesn't mean a particular decision was wrong.
