I’m still baffled the Heat didn’t go all in on Jono Wells. Just the type of player we require. A middle order rock and smart batsman. We just have dumb batsmen who can’t read a game situation.

Khawaja & Munro is quite a formidable opening pair. Just a shame we’ll be out of contention by then.

We didn’t win off Lynn & Bazzball. We won off freak bursts of form from Pomersbach & Cutting. We won BBL 2 out of nowhere. We’ve only played 3 finals games since then.

On the flip side our bowling attack does struggle when being attacked. 4th innings against India @ The Gabba, Stokes' miracle in the Ashes are prime examples. It doesn't happen that often, but it will make for an interesting series that is for sure.

Given Khawaja has just been named captain ahead of Pierson, Pierson is now no longer an automatic selection. Not sure if Billings is here for the entire tournament or just a period, but not only is he a smart T20 batter he also has the ability to keep wickets which gives a variety of options...
